KOEI's slash-happy strategy series, Dynasty Warriors, is hitting the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 next week in the form of Dynasty Warriors 6. The title, which now features swimming and climbing, has just achieved gold status and will ship to all major retailers on February 19, 2008.
An excerpt from the press release follows:
"Based on the epic novel, 'Romance of the Three Kingdoms', Dynasty Warriors 6 depicts the massive battles ignited by the fall of the Han Dynasty when three rebellious states moved to overthrow the Emperor of China.
"Developed from the ground up exclusively for next-generation platforms, the game's proprietary engine delivers the most chaotic and challenging Tactical Action experience to date. Players can use the landscape to elude the thousands of soldiers swarming the battlefield. But as players move and attack, adaptable enemy A.I. devises offensive and defensive combat tactics, and can retaliate with packs of fierce hunting dogs and patrol boats. All of the explosive action comes to life in high definition, 60 frames per second (fps) graphics."

now with climbing and swimming sorry too little too late repetitve, boring, shallow fight mechanics i dont understand why people like this game
I got this game from Japan 1 month ago, and i finished the Story mode. Its good game but after you will get bored of it.
Stop with these games already... please...
if you don't like it, don't buy it, i'm certainly not and i don't think that swimming or climbing will change a thing for me but it might the game a bit more tactical and fun for the fans out there
psn id: gingo... the dynasty warriors series started getting old when the 4th 1 came out and i dont think they will beable to revive it with anything in this one
They're only on 6? I thought they were already on DW47 - super duper delux - re-released special gold edition 4!
i played every series also warriors of orochi too but i ain't buy this game cuz story mode is even smaller and weaker i'll waitin DW7 XD
I've always like this franchise, but I might not get this one cause there way to many games coming out
