Major League Baseball's Spring Training has begun and all the pros have hit the field to show fans what they can look forward to when the season begins. 2K Sports has followed the footsteps of its professional counterparts and announced today the kickoff of the third annual Major League Baseball 2K8 Video Game Tour set to visit ballparks and college campuses near you.

The MLB 2K8 Video Game Tour is a mobile interactive entertainment experience created to highlight the merger of video games, music and sports. The tour will feature both East and West coast legs that will be running simultaneously with more than 20 markets and 40 events across the country. 2K Sports has loaded up six mobile entertainment brigades with video game stations featuring the hottest 2K Sports games. Gamers will have the opportunity to participate in the open play stations or compete in the MLB 2K8 Home Run Derby with a shot at winning exlcusive prizes from 2K Sports and Major League Baseball.

On the musical front, the East coast will feature Boston-based celebrity DJ Eskillz, while the West coast tour will be the mobile home to Sirius Satellite Radio DJ and emcee, Statik Selektah. Both DJs will treat fans to a variety of hot tracks and remixes from all of the best 2K Sports in-game soundtracks. Complimentary music cards and game demo discs will be given away at all tour stops and every participant will receive a 5 USD off coupon for Major League Baseball 2K8 redeemable at any Best Buy.
