Best Buy Offers Free Game or Controller with 60GB PS3

Posted on October 30th, 2007 at 18:33 EDT

Best Buy has posted a new bundle on their website for the 60GB PlayStation 3 offering either a free controller or game with purchase.

According to the listing, if you purchase the 60GB PS3, you have the choice between a Sixaxis controller or Heavenly Sword/Lair for the free game. With both the 80GB and the 60GB PS3 selling for the same price now at $499, you have to ask yourself what works better for you... games, controller, and better backwards compatability in the 60GB or 20GB of extra storage and Motorstorm in the 80GB.

For those of you who are enticed by this deal, follow the link to the Best Buy online listing.

Well I was wondering how they was going to work that out about the 80 and 60 being same price.  They should add the game and a controller not eitther or.  Or they could just add both games instead of extra controller but I would take the extra controller if i had to go back and pick.

The 60 gig has full backwards compatibility w/ the PS2 chips inside doesn't it?  It does make it a hard choice.

it's definatly the way to go to get people to pick up a 60 at this point. Most people (atleast the ones that knows the 80gb STILL has BC) feel that it's not diminished enough to cause them a problem so the extra storage and a free game makes the 80gb a far better deal.

Also consider the fact that soon the sixaxis will have to share shelf space with the DualShock 3 so they probably want to blow out a bit of stock in that area.

Actually if you go in the store they are offering a free hdmi cable 2 games of your choice (any games by the way) and an extra controller. the best buy in my city has a better offer so if you have a best buy near you go in and check cuzz they don't offer it online. i think the price is $600 and it is with the 60gb. they actually have 2 deals i just cant remeber what the other one is

Sony should drop the price of the 60 gig to $399 and call it a day. Let it sell out already.
