Bethesda has revealed that the company will not be releasing a demo for its upcoming post-apocalyptic RPG, Fallout 3.
Speaking to Eurogamer, Pete Hines, Vice President of Marketing for the developer, commented, "When you build it as one thing, there's no way to portion off a section and have it stand on its own without putting the whole game in the demo, which we're just not going to do.”
"And it doesn't really capture the fun of a game like an Elder Scrolls or a Fallout, where you can go where you want and do what you want. So no demo, sorry."
Elsewhere, Hines also touched on the game’s voice cast, adding, "We pick out key roles for people and who we'd like for those roles, and we always thought Liam [Neeson] was the perfect Father figure.”
"We have one or two other roles which we have for which we have things in mind, but the bulk of it - and we have a lot of voice-acting in the game - is done by voice-actors."
Fallout 3 is due out on PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360 later this year.

Fallout 3 Teaser
Still waiting from a damn trailer of this game, all we have for now is a lame teaser with nothing in it...
PSU for some reason tries to give me a trojan virus every time come here
All I can say is this site is freakin messed up. It really hasn't been working all that well over the past 3 weeks and alot of people are complaining about the virus thing. Luckly I haven't had that problem.
psn id: gingo.... makes sense a massive game like oblivion or fallout doesn't have a demo same goes for GTA its just not possible to give a true representation of the game
this site deffinitely has a problem. its been so slow for weeks
I agree gingo. It really would not make sense to make a demo because of the pure size. It would probably sway people away from buying it because it would not fairly represent the game. And make the game look sub par
im sure the sit will be sorted soo (lol at firmware 2.0 news on front page)
anyway im looking forward to this game and i recon it will be great, who here really expected a demo of this type of game anyway
This site has really taken a freakin s#it on us! I've been getting my PS3 info elsewhere!
Whats going on with the site guys? I got all excited when I saw in-game XMB on your front page..... then realised we already have version 2.00. DOH! Its also real slow and sometimes wont even load up?
I've also gotten some issues with the site also what's up with a virus on your site? Seriously for the last week I've been trying to get onto PSU, but it didn't load properly most of the time. When it did my firewall says a recent attack has been made on my pc and tells me where it came from which was PSU. Is this the issue for all the slowdown of late? Anyway hope you guys can resolve the issue soon.
My God, what the HECK has been going on with this site? I haven't been able to use the site all week until today (Wednesday). But, this site has been slow sometimes to load for a long while anyways.
But anyways, getting back to the article at hand, I was hoping that there would be a Fallout 3 demo because I'm trying to get into RPG's and Fallout 3 would be my first RPG ever. I would like to try out the game and see what it's like first, but I might end up buying it anyways because I want to get into RPG game titles.
Dont tell me you're actually surprised.
Hope the ai is better than oblivion (it was really bad)
@^^^^^^^^^^
Have you even tried Oblivion??? Or do you just suk at it????
