For those looking forward to the release of one of Midway's most anticipated first person shooters, you will just have to wait a little bit longer. Blacksite: Area 51 has been pushed back to a release date of November 5th in North America, while Europeans will be given an earlier launch date of October 26th.
The new release date was included in the company's Q2 earnings report, which contradicted hints in older press releases that the game would debut this summer.
Producer Harvey Smith and Midway Executives have both confirmed that a new demo should be released in the next couple of months, which will give gamers a more detailed concept of the story driving the shooter.
Stranglehold, also published by Midway, was recently delayed for PS3 as well.

I said that the next company to delay a PS3 game I was persanoly going to burn the building down (who's with me), I need you to pay for everything since I live in Texas but i'm ready when you are.
Watch how long I delay to buy it, they know long ago when they can't meet a deadline and they should be fired anyways for being late what other job can you have where you never meet a deadline, Riddle me that? HA HA, LOL. midway was all up in arms about the sales of the PS3, and they can't even meet a deadline that they set themselves. WOW what a bunch of MORONS!

Boy,Midway must be in some sort of trouble.Or maybe their annual developer's picnic interfered with their work.
Sony please let me go shake these guys up so the'll get scared and actually get the games out, We can use Midway for an example and go cross their head so all the others will tighten up and get their games out, I even take Phill Harrison with me and I do all the dirty work, Right now ps3 go for less than half their worth, people really will accept the price when the really good games get out, but these guy will be Sony's downfall with their constant delay's. I got bout $800 dollars in my pocket and I have every game out their worth getting, but I want to get another today (see thats a sale right now) but somebody delayed, Sony please let Phill slap this Midway guy please!

Every new game should come with the subtitle "Will Be Delayed At Least Once." That way it's no surprise (Not like it's much now anyway.)
