Ubisoft has unveiled new details surrounding the PlayStation 3 iteration of the company’s upcoming World War II fighter, Blazing Angels 2: Secret Missions, confirming the game will include new content exclusive to Sony’s format.
The PlayStation 3 version will feature a host of new additions not included in the PC or Xbox 360 version of the game, notably full support of Sixaxis motion-sensing control, as well as new multiplayer maps. With Warhawk having already given players a glimpse of how a flight combat game can make effective use of the Sixaxis, there should be little surprise to its inclusion here.
A follow-up to the 2006 release Blazing Angels: Squadrons of World War II, Secret Missions allows gamers to pilot a number of prototype aircraft while on orders to execute a top-secret plan in an effort to disarm Hitler’s Third Reich. A number of new locations have been promised, including in Cairo, Moscow, and the Himalayas. Unlike its predecessor, the game is being made from the ground up for next-generation consoles, promising to deliver improved graphics, physics and a host of new multiplayer options.
Blazing Angels 2: Secret Missions is due for release on PlayStation 3 this August.
