Great, another game that could be black listed due to mature content. My question is the whole race thing is always questionable, and based on perspective. In this case it's someone from the black comunity voicing out because of a "white guy in army gear killing black people in africa." First, what if it was a black guy killing white people. Or if it was a black guy killing black people. It all comes down to people killing people. I don't get why we still have to have race involved. If people keep pointing it out then people will continue to be racist. Don't get me wrong, I have not seen why this game is where it is, it may have a good reason for the setting, but you never know mabey it is.

I've said it numerous times already ever since the first trailer appeared that this was going to happen. The gamers aren't going to be bothered, it was always going to be the non-gaming public that attacks it. Capcom isn't racist regardless of how racially insensitive it is. Capcom is a bunch of Japanese people not White people, but of course just as I predicted, it's going to catch hll for it. I really wished capcom had a few people that would have told them earlier that White on Black racism is something they needed to be careful of before the trailers came out. They really screwed the pooch on this one.

Things like this are completely stupid and unfounded. People use the fact that they are a minority to gain pity, and it is exactly what they claim to be against, racism. Resident Evil, up until the 4th game has always had white people, then 4 came along and it was in a Spanish speaking nation, and now it seems to be in an African country. The game has remained the same, but now that it takes place in an African locale, the game is racist. People just want someone to empathize them, so they may get attention, and have people feel sorry for the race they belong to. If you think this way, you are just as racist as the opinion you claim to fight against.

I am hispanic, and to clear anything up, RE4 does not have zombies, it has cult members who are spanish. I dont recall anyone making a big deal of this at all. Nor did I care, I was glad to hear my mother laguage bieng yelled during the game, also it also does happen to be that the bad guys were also spanish.As for RE5, it seams a bit to premature to start taling crap about rasism when the game is not even out, they dont know anything of the story. And this game is not for children.

If the game was set in the Philippines, and the zombies were asian would they give a s***?? If the game was set in the Domican Republic and the enemy was Black Hispanic zombies would they care then?

I don't think the game was intentionally meant to be racist, but is based on location, and the origins of voodoo. I do think some of the ignorant comments "some" of you are making "is" racist. OK here is the thing... If this game was racist then would Refield be killing all of them while he is walking through the town and they are all walking by him with out a care in the world?? Then it cut's to a scene where he goes into a house and tries to save a BLACK person but he get's turned in to something ZOMBIESCK and attack's Chris.. So all in all he is defending himself. I watched the trailer and though I did not jump to the conclusion that it was racist... it did trigger some warning signs. I've seen a lot of people on various forums point out that all other zombie games have you killing white zombies. I'm sorry but that's a horrible argument and only holds up on the internet... yes all the other games had white zombies, but practically all the other games were about white people. Starred white protagonist, white villains, white support characters... so on and so on, so leave that tired "white zombie" thing out of it. The true test for resident evil 5 will be when the game hits and we'll see whether or not the game black support characters and fellow protagonists.. if it doesn't, then something is obviously up, since the story takes place in a predominately black area. Time will tell

I read almost all the comments about this game. Me I don't find the game racist, and I'm not going to put out my ethnicity becasue that's ignorant to me. One thing most people don't realize it seems is people have been complaining about other games. Did anyone know that GTA: Vice City was changed at one point. Yeah Haitians complained about it they just did it too late, but I could see their point. If you still play VC you remember most of the time. They would come after you for no good reason you didn't even have to shoot them. There are others besides this, but they won't come to light because people aren't that pissed about it.

BTW all this their were "white zombies" crap in the other RE games besides RE4. That's stupid I've played a couple of the games, and last time I checked you couldn't tell the race of those zombies.

I suppose this is another way that the white man is trying to gather up people to kill all the black community.  This has to be the dumbest thing I have ever heard.  First off, why were they looking at video games?  Second, GTA San Andreas.  Black guy is main character and civilians are of all different descent.  I didn't hear a word about GTA being racist, be it killing white, black, latino, etc.  Apparently it doesn't matter as long as the black guy is the main character...Hence, Saint's Row. Lastly, this is a GAME. It's not some sort of training video.  Not as much as Dead Rising was to stay in a mall and take pictures.  I guess Final Fantasy is racist too since almost all of the characters are white.

The Nazi's nearly wiped out all the Jewish ppl, i havnt HEARD ONCE a jewish person complain about anything race wise. RE4 was actually spanish with more pale faces, but still he is an officer not a millitary operative. He's trying to save them, but it's probably too late anyways. Also, Umbrella has places all over, eventually we had to go to Africa, and it'll probably South America or Asia next. (RE4 was Europe, the rest were in America)
