Burnout team to help PS3 owners complete game

Posted on April 30th, 2008 at 16:46 EDT

Having trouble finding all the hidden unlockables and secrets in Burnout Paradise? No sweat, Criterion is about to provide you with all of the answers you need.

In a move that will make Burnout Paradise much easier to fully complete, Criterion is letting gamers know that they will be receiving help from their technical team. The tech team will be able to guide you through the game and help you achieve those secrets/unlockables. The feature known as the Burnout Paradise Save Game Analyser will allow PS3 owners to copy their game save to a USB drive or memory stick and have it analyze on criteriongames.com. This feature is made possible due to the recently released Bogart software update.

Once uploaded and submitted to the Criterion team, they will create an interactive map that allows you to view the location of all incomplete discoverables, including Jumps, Smashes, Billboards, Junkyards, Body Shops, Paint Shops, Gas Stations and Car Parks. Although the feature is not live at the moment, Criterion's technicians are preparing it by putting on the final touches. The website will reflect the changes and then they will make the feature accessible as soon as it goes live.

That sounds like a pretty awesome feature. However, I guess it's too bad that I don't have the game. I would have got it, but the whole free roam racing game format was just not my thing... just put me in a car on a closed race track like Gran Turismo and I'm good to go.

They going to charge for this?  Not that it matters, I don't even have the game.  Nice feature though.

AclayPS3, I thought I was the only one that thought this way. With you on this one dude, much prefer the old format of the game. Again I did not buy it for this very reason. ;)

Don't have it, but if I buy a game is to complete it myself. I used to use game guides, but not anymore. It's better (and feels better) accomplishing things your own.

No 360 version? All this does is make PS owners look like they can't even finish a game without help from the devs themselves. Why do this?

Hmmm...am not to happy bout this, took me ages to fully complete it and now it seems pointless....
