Capcom has set up a user poll on the official Bionic Commando website today, asking consumers how much they would be willing to pay for the upcoming PlayStation Network/Xbox Live Arcade title, Bionic Commando Rearmed.
The company has given users the option of choosing between the sum of USD 10 – 15 for the upcoming retro shooter, which is due out later this year.
“Some think that we can go the simple "meta-emulation" route, put on a fresh coat of paint, and release the game without any tweaks or new modes," said Capcom’s Ben Jud.
"After all, that is the standard right now. Most of these games sell for $10 but aren't anywhere near the quality of BCR."
Rearmed will boost a series of improvements over the original release, including updated graphical and aural presentation, along with a fully integrated two player cooperative mode.
To cast your vote, head over to the official website and check out the poll on the bottom left hand side of the page.
Are you serious? Thats an odd movement, but I doubt that anyone is actually going to say, "Hey here ya go, take some money from my wallet, I don't need it!"
cheap as possible please................ as always!
I say free since there Lost Planet games blows so hard.
$10 seems good to me. Tho... I'd much rather ...$6... $7... lol.
How about a poll that asks how many people like installing all your games to their hard drive. I had to upgrade my hard drive just because I had so many demos and now you're eating 5GB chunks away.
I bet they are thinking about cutting the game short, and offering the rest as a separate purchase(disguised as an expansion) for more money if people choose the $10 option for the game.
Where is the $0 option?
Are some people just stupid, thats why the said $15 dollars, or could it be capcom itself, the entered that on the site. Either way it's silly, how can you ask me what i want to pay then give your choices. i would pay $5, thats all
Give it away for $10
Unfortunately those choosing the $10 option are the fools. When companies realize that we wont pay for their extra work they will realize its not worth putting in any extra work. Its not as if the gaming industry will go under because they stop doing their best on retro games. If we only want to pay for B effort then that is what we'll get.
Lol, at these comments. I agree, give it to us for free.
psn id: gingo.... i would accept it for about £5-6 ($10-12) which is the pricei think most people will choose in this poll
Whats with all the Capcom hate? I'd gladly pay $15. I love the original Bionic Commando and this Rearmed version looks like it will be a blast. I honestly thought they were gonna charge $20 for it, since as they stated, many companies are throwing out the original versions with no enhancements and charging around $10-$15. I'd still rather pay $10 though...
I loved the original game a lot. But lets be real here...if your giving me the chance to pay $10 instead of fifteen I'll take $10 everytime.

I definitely hear what you are saying, however Capcom is different in this case, at least they should be. I am a regular over at the official Bionic Commando site, and Capcom has stated that they really don't expect the profit from this game, it was really fan service, in which I deeply appreciate that they are releasing it for the fans (As I am a huge Bionic Commando Fan) but if you are going to price it at my discretions, you already know that I'm going to choose the cheap of the two prices, regardless, if I am a fan or not. That being said, I wouldn't mind if the game comes out 15 bucks, however if its giving me an option to vote which to pay, 10 or 15 dollars, who in their right mind is wanting to pay more, when you're giving an option. If stipulations were added, then yeah I can see why 15 dollars would be a viable choice, however if the poll is like it is now, regardless of what I'm willing to pay, I'd always go for the cheap option if it means money in the pocket, and purchases for later. One could only hope for a price tag of 10 however if 15 is definitely the price, then I'll pay it happily. "The Problem is Choice" lol, gotta love that Matrix phrase ;P
lol... i bet this is just another random generic game that no ones ganna buy or talk about... and no i didnt even read it i looked at the name "bionic commando" sounds like everyother 3 years or under game.... whats with devs and retarded names?
I would rather $8. I don't think I'll pay $10 for it.
LOL at the people going for the cheapest. I really do think their will be special DLC for this game if it is that cheap.
LOL @ Deldwen, your logic is failed. As there were many votes on the topic before it was posted here, and now there are even more. If people didn't care about the title they sure as heck (H*** is a banned word I see :| ) wouldn't have taken the time to vote on pricing for it, as it wouldn't matter to them, because they weren't buying it ;)
I still have Bionic Commando for the NES, and it's an awesome game. I love what I'm seeing from Capcom on this updated version. I'd pick it up for $7.99 in a heartbeat, but paying $15 for the game is kinda twisting my arm.
Why don't they give us the option of either buying over the counter or downloading the game off PSN Network; like Sony did with Warhawk.

We aren't speaking about Bionic Commando the Sequel, as in the full 3D game. This is about Bionic Commando Rearmed, which is a remake of the original with updated graphics, remastered soundtrack, new game modes (One being, Co-op; its offline unfortunately, though the developers said they would try to get online Co-op if it could be fit in, looks kind of grim for the online aspect though) and new weapons and armor as well as some other tweaks. This will be released on PSN, while the Full 3D sequel is going to be sold on Blu-Ray disc.
