Criterion Games, the developers behind the latest instalment in the Burnout series, Burnout Paradise, have confirmed that they are in the process of addressing consumer feedback on the next-generation racer in preparation for the release of patch v1.2
The company announced a list of ten issues that they are looking into, covering both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the popular racing title, which can be seen below.
·PS3 game can crash when a player is taken down and the player that has performed the Takedown leaves the game.
·The game indefinitely displays "Connecting to Paradise City Servers" if it's having problems pinging the rebroadcast server.
·Disconnecting the controller before a race begines (sic) can mean that race timings can be manipulated with players who didn't cross the line first being awarded the win
·Repeatedly joining and leaving a game with 8 players can cause the game to hang.
·Hammering the A (360) or X (PS3) after unlocking a car can cause the game to hang.
·East Crawford and Watt St achievements can not be achieved if the player goes online and sets road rules before attempting them.
·Audio distortion when using 5.1 / DTS and looking rearwards.
·Enhanced 360 streaming performance stops instances where the game seems to pause for a second or so.
·Total time driven in player stats would stick at 145 hours :)
·VoIP connection problems with 8 player games.
A release date for the patch has yet to be revealed, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated on the situation.

psn id: gingo.... tbh i've not noticed too many problems online with burnout but glad they are addressing them and making it an even better game
Mine hung after completing a stunt run and corrupted the save file so I had to start again.......that sucked.........I back up all my auto save files now!!!!
I only have a few hours into the game, but I haven't noticed anything wrong yet. Hopefully I never will. If these problems are a regular accurance, than I'm glad they are fixing them.
Great that they keep updating it! But this games really doesn't need a patch. It seems to be pretty flawless. Except for the absence of split-screen.
I can defintately confirm the 8th issue because I've seen the 36* pause during play and it's annoying just to even watch so I'm sure those guys will be happy their version finally plays as well as ours in that respect.
Damh, it sounds as if this game never should have been released with all these problems. The word "patch" should never be used in conjunction with a console game, otherwise it's just another unfinished product you paid a premium for to have them complete at a later date. Sad really.
@Die-romantic
I've never played any other Burnout games than this one.
@kane Im with you on the splitscreen absence, why oh why does this feature continue to be left out of games........for all those devs out there.......yes most of us DO have REAL friends that visit and the ability to whip or get whiped by ya mate/mates in the same room is priceless. (and before anyone points out the use of whiping, its not in any shape or form sexual or takes place wit a real whip)..........appart from the weekends :-)
