Dead Space arriving in Europe earlier than expectedThe highly anticipated first-person shooter Crysis could technically appear on either the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3, said developer Crytek, who stated that the firm would review possibilities once the game hits shelves for the PC this September.
Asked on whether or not he thought the game was possible on consoles, Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli told UK publication PC Gamer, "Theoretically, anything could run anywhere”, adding, "Crysis could be on the 360 or PS3".
While conceding the game was possible on other formats, Yerli added that the company would first evaluate oppertunities before reaching any decision; As such, gamers will have to wait until after the game is released for any further developments. "It requires optimisation, that's what we've always communicated", he explained. "What you would not do is make Crysis on PS3, 360 and PC for a single shipping date, because we would lose the quality focus. "So I say, 'First PC version, then we'll see what happens'”.
Despite this, Yerli was keen to emphasis that there are currently no plans to release the game on either the 360 or PS3: "...it's a matter of how far we can take each platform" and Crytek would not go to a platform unless it could make the game "number one there"”, he said.

Only thinking of Crysis on PS3 makes me pee my pants.
Just want to see some XBOT's faces when they eventually see that it is not possible ont the XBOX 360^^ - and even if it will look no better than GoW.

lol....The developers at Crytek need to cut the crap, they knew from the beginning that they where going to port it to the consoles sooner or later.
Crysis on Ps3.. I would rent it.. but I wouldn't have enough money to actually buy it.

what makes em think its even gonna be NUMBER 1 on the pc, to me thats just a lame reason for not porting it to ps3 etc!
i bet he's w8in to see that if it DOES make number 1 , who will offer them the most money (Sony/M$) to port it to their console!!

Yeha right 360 having crysis it has enough trouble running oblivion. Ps3 will be the answer for console use for crysis

it's just a matter on who pays they the most money, that all he meant! well it might be a another bull ssshhhhhiiiiiiii???? 360 exclusive, seeing how much money microsoft has been dishing out lately.
Crisis looks nice, but I'm not dying to play it. If it comes to the PS3, that'd be great, but it's no sweat off of my back if it doesn't. Frankly, I'd be surprised if it didn't jump to one of the consoles, but I think they just don't want to be caught making promises, so they stay "on the fence."
Sure, like he said...the game could apear on any console, even the Wii....it just wouldnt look as good. I would bet the PS3 gets it way before the 360. With PGR4 taking up the DVD9, I would bet this game wont fit on a single disc, let alone run smooth on the 360 hardware.
This would be great if its ported, even though we all now it won't look as good as the PC.
After watching KillZone 2 i can see yeah anything in totally possible on PS3, a while back we heard Crytek was hiring some PS3 devs maybe they have plans to make it for PS3 later on who knows its interesting to think about Crysis for PS3.
no one hear knows if it cant run on the 360, it may even look better then the ps3 due to the fact that developers have not even discovered how to use the cell to its full advantage, who knowns only time will tell.
The Devs might not know how to use the Cell to its full potential but they know how to get Killzone 2 and MGS4 out of it, which atm is good enough for me =P
while killzone 2 and MGS4 are great looking games the ps3 should be able to do better, i say this because those graphics could be done on the 360, cod4 is a better looking game and it is multiplatform. ps3 had potential but at the moment you cant say there exclusives are better then what the 360 could do. this is not a bash at ps3 just saying my opinion
