BIA: Hell's Highway 'Realism' trailer
For fans of Crytek and their now famous CryENGINE 2, you will all be pleasantly happy to know that Crytek plans on showing off their CryENGINE 2 at this year’s Game Developer’s Conference. The thing that makes this so special is that they’ll be showing it off on multiple platforms, one of which being the PlayStation 3 console.
This demonstration is going to be viewed by a select audience however there will be public presentations at their home booth as well. The presentations at Booth #6611 will show how the engine can be fully optimized on a cost-efficient PC that is built for roughly $600, including the mouse and keyboard. They want to demonstrate to visitors that the extremely high quality content that CryENGINE 2 provides can be obtained by the average PC owner, debunking the belief that you need a top-end PC to utilize it effectively.
Along with that demonstration, you’ll also be able to see the Sandbox 2 game editor in action creating rapid levels for use, adding incredible sound quality, working with the CryENGINE 2 to deliver solid animation quality, and it will all be lead by many of the leading developers and designers for the Crytek engine itself.
This will definitely be a hot ticket event and the demonstrations will occur twice a day. The seating is said to be on a first come, first serve basis, so make sure you show up early.

looks like crysis is coming to the ps3 afterall, guess pc sales wernt good enough
yeah i built my pc recently and it only cost me 460 shipping included and i built around crysis i could play crysis on max settings at 27fps and can play cod4 at the highest possible settings with 60fps thats awesome theyre utilizing it on the ps3
psn id: gingo.... it should be good to see another big engine apart from Unreal engine 3 on ps3 because it seems every game is either using their own in house one of unreal one
That was my problem with CryEngine2. So many other game engines produced really high quality graphics (Unreal Engine 3) without needing a high end pc to properly play games using the engine. Yet CryEngine2 seemed to suck up more resources then it should be. Its great to see that Crytek have put effort into optimising the engine so that it can run on cheaper pc, like every other engine I know.
Everyday more and more signs or Crysis coming to PS3 only,
the x360 cant hadle it to weak 640p graphics, dvd games, lmao primitive technology is you ask me.
i always thought that crysis would not make money just on a high end pc.. now they want it to run on a 600 dollar pc and on consoles too.
I just bought a new PC for £507 (just over $1000) and it won't run Crysis, so I'd like to see them show that.
Still, if they do, then anything that runs on a £300/$600 PC should run easily on a PS3.
crysis is cool game cant weit to see that game on ps3
does they sey that graphich will be better on ps3 or pc
what is better pc or play station 3
shaka?
What are you talking about, the engine will be display on both 360 and the ps3. Don't let that fanboyism go to your head.
My guess for GDC is.. Crytek will show Crysis running on PS3 only, like the rumour. But for the CryEngine2 they'll show a new ip teaser for 360 and PS3.
wow, how ironic that this article doesnt include the fact that this engine is being made for the 360 as well. look at gamespot.com and look at the right side of the page and read the real article. idiots...
' ' what is better pc or play station 3 ' '
PS3 by far just look at Uncharted or Lair, some of the best graphics we have ever seen no PC game can move this yet.
I could care less about the CryENGINE2 but the Sandbox game editor sounds interesting.

Shaka are you really serious with the comments you are making?
Crysis will come to PS3, its a matter of time, just like UT3.
