Pretty simple really, the game has been on the Playstation since day one, just because Capcom wants to be more multiplatform won't change anything

It's probably going to sell a few copies on the 360 and flurrish on the PS3

In the end the true console for Japanese gamers will be number one

DUHH its a playstation franchise it should never have been on the Xbox. Just because there are more users doesnt mean that necessarily they are gonna adopted the game, it depends on the tastes and xbox gamers are the lamest gamers on the planet. i mean anybody who is willing to pay for that piece of s**t has got to be lame. By the way f**ck you capcom for being greedy that extra money that you spent on developing it for the xbox could have been spent on optimizing it more for the ps3, i was gonna buy it but after that dishonesty im gonna pass. You guys should read a page from Infinity Ward, those are some classy developers.

I'm not buying this game anyway. Capcom can shove their precious game where the sun don't shine. Remember why they went multiplat. There weren't enough PS3s out there. That's funny because in a month or two there'll be more PS3s than 360s out there. Especially if you figure most people that had a 360 had two of them already.

The 360 does have the most to gain out of DMC4 though, as we the PS3 community already have similar titles like Heavenly Sword and the upcoming God of War 3.

Are you serious!? this is in japan,so of course nobody is gonna be at the XBOX360 kiosk because it has done horrible there.

Its expected that it will be more popular on the PS3, not only that in JP the 360 is considered dead weight over there.

I hope you do know that they game will not be released on the 360 in japan, and this event proves why they made the decision, japannese people aren't fan of western technology.

i would say that the DMC 4 will be better in gameplay cause of the controller tho the game will be the same just that i think everyone likes the ps3 controller one cause its like the ps2 one so they will know how to play it better that way :)

Since evreyone whos played the past devil may cry games, had to own a ps2, then those fans will probabley play it on ps3. Japan likes the ps3 more anyways.

Capcom is a bich. One that fcked us with their huge "announcement" and all that other crap. I simply hate Capcom now. I loved them in their mega man days, and such but I guess it's like Japan.

Best place ever. BUT, when they bombed the US in Pearl Harbor, every one of them were bastar.ds. But now, Japan is not made up of the same people and now it is kick ***. The inverse can be said about Capcom.

Capcom should realize this and just release it for the PS3. I know it is all about making money but if noone buys the game for 360 you will probably end up losing money in the long run.

I'm a PS3 owner, and I won't be getting this game. I hope that the PS3 owner's that aren't going to buy this game far outweigh the x360 owner's that will, it will make a great point to CAPCOM that making this game inexclusive only hurt the game and sales, and that if you want to keep dedicated gamers, slapping them in the face isn't the way.

I keep saying it but it's hard for people to accept. The japanese dont like Micro$oft. Plain and simple, They wil support a japanese company LONG before they support an arrogant, noisy, greedy American company. Once sony stopped talking big and started acting like a real japanese company like they didn in the PS1 and early PS2 days they gained a lot of respect back.

The 36* sold in japan to US military and to the random early adopters who buy any gaming equipment. And in the long run it's doing worse in japan than the original xbox did.

      Actually, since the original xbox release in japan, it has yet to sell more than 500,000 units.

The 360 however is about to reach that mark or has already passed it.

There was even talk that Ace combat pushed the system sales up past ps3's in the last week.
Although i wouldn't suspect that this is a continuing trend.

Japan will support there consoles before any American one.

i  would go to the 360  side and not the ps3 just because its a shorter wait.but i think they like the ps3 one better

A total no brainer... you could have Madden 2008 running 60FPS on 360 and 30 FPS on PS3, and the Playstation version would get more attention because... DUH... IT'S JAPAN!! If you haven't figured it out by now, japan does not care for american consoles. So this is a no story - story! As for Capcom not making money on the 360 version... HA!!!!! 360 owners supported Capcom in Dead Rising and Lost Planet and the installed base is more than twice the PS3. Xbox owners actually buy games as opposed to Wii owners. The hardware to software ratio is 6.59 for Xbox vs 3.58 for the Playstation. So I really don't see them losing money on Microsoft's version, but maybe Sony's! Now THAT'S a story!!

Obviously stated, the PS3 version makes more sense. On top of all that, the 360 is not as popular in Japan as the PS3. I say screw the 360's version.

How can you say that there are more people in front of the playstation section then teh xbox section.  They both look even to me and the xbox stands look nicer to.  I reckon that if the xbox 360 version of the game is any good it might turn things around for microsoft in Japan.  It still wont be any competition for the ps3 but it night just get more 360's off the selves and into Japanese homes.  In every other country the game will sell better on the xbox because more people own xbox 360 consoles.

I am not surprised at all. The DMC series started on the PS brand and is popularly known as a game on the ps brand. When u hear DMC u think Playstation,just like when u hear Halo u think XBOX.As a matter of fact the game will sell well on the ps3 n hope thing will be the same for the 360 version so that capcom will b satisfied.

I get the feeling DMC5 will be back to PS3 exclusivity.

Hey at least the game didn't lose its exclusivity to the wii. lol. DMC4 on wii.....That is the sad fate of monster hunter yet another fanbase that capcom crushed by scrapping ps3 development and moving to the wii. My dreams for a high def world of dragons and warriors online is gone forever.
