Additonal Info:
Extolled action/horror outing Dark Sector will finally be receiving an Australian release this year following a series of cuts that have allowed the game to be awarded an MA15+ rating.
The PlayStation 3/Xbox 360 epic by D3 Publisher was previously refused rating in the territory by Australia’s Office of Film and Literature Classification, effectively banning the game from going on sale there.
However, subsequent edits to the title have now secured the game a release in the region, though a firm release date is currently unknown.
The news comes just one week after it emerged that the horror FPS, Shellshock 3: Blood Trial, was banned in the region due to the game’s excessive level of violence.
Stay tuned.

I wouldnt worry about, its a nothing game anyway. you aint missin much!
the game is s***, why even care?!
Wel I just feel sorry for the gamers in Australia... I mean they will keep getting watered down games and even those that wasn't that bad.... That must suck.... But I have Dark Sector and only played it for about an hour before I got sidetracked... But I should get into it again after MGS4... As far as I can remeber Dark Sector didn't seem that bad...
Australians arent underdone by any means. it is the best country in the world. so we dont have gory games in our stores we also dont have guns on our streets making these games reality as is the case in other countries . coff coff.(america). we place more into nature . going to the beach. surfin . having cool winters but not enough that u get cramed inside and warm sumers where ur blood is pumping while u watch the footy. no i pity those who do not live in australia and say to u..... KEEP YOUR GAMES THERE CRAP ANY WAY. and also WE ARENT FLIPPIN COMIES SO UP YA BUMB.
@ coveted No your just all convicts instead he he only joking, and your right you do have a very nice country, just wish the UK would do more to prevent imigrants and the like
Didnt go to well in NA and EU, so wouldnt even worry about this game it really sucked big time.
If I under understand this correctly, each state and territory have their own Attorney General and for an R rating to be applied to gaming. Each Atterney General as well as the Commonwealth must ALL agree, and Michael Atkinson (Attorney General for SA) is the only person still against an R rating.
Good to see Australian get this game. it a good game but the online is no MGO or COD4.
The game is awful IMO.
@coveted dont make australia out to look like sesame street. austrailia have urban cities like any other country have urban cities. i'm sure you can find a gun for sale on the streets or black marked. yea you can find gory and violent games in our stores and our government try to take some of those games out of stores but cant. WHY? because of our FIRST AMENDMENT besides we get to choose what we wanna buy or dont. so my man thats what make our country the best in the world!! USA! USA!! USA!!!
canada has the same kind of games as america but we dont get effected by games violence. its not a problem here so think about that. Coveted
games dont kill people. guns dont kill people. people kill people. facts. ok now back to videogames please...
the difference betwwen australia and the us Denali is that our citezens arent trying to kill eachother!!!!!!! and for gods sake we arent COMIIIES!!!!!
