Remember all the shenanigans about Def Leppard appearing in Guitar Hero IV? Apparently, Def Leppard’s guitarist, Phil Collen, wasn't completely correct.
It appears that the Def Leppard tracks mentioned won't be appearing in Guitar Hero IV, but Guitar Hero III instead. It has been confirmed that a three-song Def Leppard pack will be released April 24 in the US and May 8 in the UK. In the pack will be the band's new single, Nine Lives. The single will be released via GHIII before it officially launches and becomes available through retail and online outlets.
The other two tracks appearing in the pack, Rock of Ages and Photograph, should already be familiar to fans of Def Leppard. No pricing has yet been announced for this special pack, but we'll take a gander and say that it'll probably be $6.25.
This news doesn't imply that Def Leppard won't be involved in Guitar Hero IV, just that the three songs Collen mentioned in the interview were destined for release in GHIII.

I love Def Leppard, but I'm really mad about them teaming up with Guitar Hero...they would have been so much better on Rock Band. And I definitely would have enjoyed it more.
ps3 is still broken doesn't bother me
not getting GHIII just because he release new songs, so ROCK ON ON ROCK BAND
So the UK based band Def Leppard, who are touring in...the UK...as we speak...are releasing their new single in...the US first...wait...was that a typo?
nope...looks like the UK GHIII peeps get bent over again and taken up the aisle...kinda glad I bought the 360 version, at least i know that I'll be able to get mine in april...
Def Leppard sucks!
Wow disapointing... I might try the songs at a friends first.

late again for us (as usual), i was very disappointed in what guitar hero 3 had to offer compared to GH2 but still it can be fun and as leppard are one of my fav bands then i may just get this. But it will be a while before i consider getting anything else once GTA is out (except MGS4 of course :D)
