Dreamers still alive and coming to PS3

Posted on June 5th, 2008 at 21:43 EDT

After two years of silence, PSU.com decided to contact Dreamgazers President and Creative Director George Georgeadis to see if the studio's upcoming adventure title, Dreamers, was still alive.

"Haha, yes we are still alive," said Georgeadis. "However many changes have occurred regarding the company and project, changes that I am unfortunately not in a position to disclose."

Georgeadis finished by telling us that they should have new details to share soon. We're hoping that soon means within the next few months, as the last time we reported on the title was back in mid-2006, when PSU.com was known as PS3land. We held an interview with Georgeadis on their new title going over the basic details of the game such as storyline, game engine, gameplay, and development on the PS3.

For those of you who haven't heard of Dreamers, it's psychological action/adventure where players take the role of Jorge, a narcoleptic whose four hour dreams start to become four day fatal comas. To find clues as to why conditions are worsening, Jorge will search within his dreams, nightmares, and ill-fated past.

The title was expected to release on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii, although after two years, things may have changed. Also, be sure to check out our exclusive concept art and screenshots gallery of the game here. Stay tuned to PSU.com for more information.

This sounds like a cool concept.  Hopefully they'll get their problems ironed out and release it soon.

I love how you Justin are getting in touch with different devs and are seeing if there games are still alive. Also do you know any thing on what happened to Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier, the Wall, Project Severity, Parabellum, Guillermo Del Toro's Sundown & GrimSquad Endless Warfare

@ Black Ice Joe

Here are some quick updates on the titles you asked about:

1. Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier.....My guess is that Naughty Dog is doing this like Insomniac does thier titles...they have 1 team full production, and 1 team working on the next project. However, due to the success of Uncharted, they may be doing Uncharted 2 before revealing Jak and Dax

2. The Wall......still in production...nothing new

3. Project Severity....probably canceled since the CLP is no longer around

4. Parabellum.....I believe its still in production. It's using the Unreal Engine, but nothing has been said since early last year on this title.

5. GrimSquad Endless Warfare.......this isn't a real game. The screens that were found were of a Ji-Roh project...which is an anime movie that has characters similar in look to Helgast.

Hmm why is it that all these unique games get burried or lost or cancelled and shooter 4 and racer 6 get pumped out all the time?

It sounds cool. Storyline check.

Gameplay has to  be a good for thuis game to survive.

Cuz making gameplay for this game would seem difficult.

@ Black Ice Joe - I word of advice, don't ever add 'love' in a sentence when youre talking about some. it kinda makes you sound gāy.

With a game like that why bother with a Wii version? bit like Alone in the Dark on the Wii, pointless.
