Koei has announced that the strategic action videogame Dynasty Warriors 6 will launch in North America February 19, 2008 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
“Dynasty Warriors 6 will deliver the massive scale battles that gamers have come to expect from the series, and will push the envelope of Tactical Action. Our goal is to redefine the Dynasty Warriors series,” said Amos Ip, Senior Vice President at KOEI Corporation.
“We’ve created more immersive environments where players can use the features of the battlefield to their advantage, larger armies with a presence and strategy befitting their superior numbers, and re-imagined characters with the most authentic kung-fu showcased in a way only KOEI can deliver. This is truly the next great chapter in the Dynasty Warriors saga.”
The Dynasty Warriors series has sold well over 15 million copies worldwide. Said to reinvent the tactical action experience, Dynasty Warriors 6 will take place in a 3rd century China where great battles revolve around the Han Dynasty plunge in which three mutinous states try to overthrow the Emperor of China.

to me, this franchise suçks big time, they made the same exact game over and over again, but what realy suprises me is that people actualy buy and love getting the same damn game over and over, im 100% NOT looking foward to this game, lol!
Kill it off already! You guys made 7 games now, and you`ve only sold 15Million copies worldwide? Only the Japanese and Chinese people`s will get this game..!!!
Sad part is.... I am planning on getting this. I only played part 5 and it provideed me mindless enjoyment for a while so I wan't to check out 6. I am sorry to all those above who seems to inexplicably stuck with the series throught all of its iterations.
There are enough people in the gaming world to find this a new experience.

I like this game, looking forward to get it. I love just sitting back with a friend and seeing how many chinese people we can kill. Putting that bigotry aside, I really do like this game as it's so mindless and button mashing and god-like when your Musou Special cuts down everyone around you makes you feel god-like. WHICH is the point of the game's gameplay since you're a general.
