US games publication Electronic Gaming Monthly has printed a selection of the latest rumours in its March issue, covering Sony’s PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable formats.
First and foremost is news regarding the sequel to the critically acclaimed ICO, with the magazine claming that an official unveiling isn’t too far off; however, it fails to give mention to a possible time frame of when to expect some concrete information.
Elsewhere, rumours state that a sequel to Capcom’s Xbox 360 zombie title, Dead Rising, is currently in development for “multiple” consoles. Conspicuously, however, Capcom is apparently not handling the game, with EGM claiming that an LA-based firm has been given coding duties.
Moving on to the handheld front, the issue hints that the upcoming PSP title God of War: Chains of Olympus may be ported to the PS2 at some point in the future, and states that PSN title Everyday Shooter will also see a successful transition to Sony’s handheld device at some point.
Finally, the magazine is claiming that the PS2 will also hop on the motion-sensing bandwagon soon enough, with a motion controller for the machine supposedly already in the works.
As always, we’d like to remind our readers that none of these reports have been substantiated by official sources, so be sure to take these on your plate with a healthy pinch of salt, as per usual.
Stay tuned for more as it breaks.

Dead Rising was one of the few games that made me consider getting a 360, if DR2's headed to ps3 than that's all the better.
>oh yeah, and ICO on ps3 is going to kick a**!
well I'm only waiting on Shadow of the Colossus 2 for PS3 ^^
well, all we need is FFVII to go to ps2 and i can just void the entire reason i bought a PSP. this whole psp to ps2 thing, though kind of good. is really a bad idea. the PSP finally started getting quality titles and they are all going to ps2. on another note WICKED EXCITED FOR TEAM ICO'S NEXT GAME
6axis for ps2? i dont see that happening. the other stuff sounds reasonable tho
Ico was one of the greatest PS2 games, I mean it's style and design were only surpassed by Shadow. If these guys make sequels to both and tie in the story lines like we all believe they should be then we have a winner on our hands!!! Can't wait!!!
Pon! Pon! Pata! Pon!
I dunno, thanks to that teaser image team ICO has on their site.... I would say its a SotC sequel.
EGM's rumor department is usually spot-on with their rumors, so good news.
God of War: Chains of Olympus on PS2? Now it just needs Crisis Core on PS2 and I'll feel like I got scammed into getting my PSP. -_-
Yeah you guys are right because you know when you have a PSP you can only play it at home, because the portable part of it is just a lie. How about having a PSP so you can play all those great games when you're out on a trip or waiting somewhere. Anyway, that would be awesome if they made a motion sensor control for the PS2 and developers started porting Wii games to the PS2 or making multiplatform games for the Wii and PS2.
i want SOC plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz i loved that game sooooo much i need number 2
i would love to see Dead Rising 2 on PS3.The first game was loads of fun.
Ico and Shadow of the Colossus 2 would satisfy me for a long time, love team Ico.
Dead Rising 2 not by Capcom? IDK that doesn't sound good to me. >_>
all old rumors, eeevery single one.
Too all you bltching about PSP games being ported to PS2, you;re ignoreing a completely relevant point. YOU DONT HAVE TO EFFING BUY THEM. The point of porting them is to give you a choice. maybe you want to play them at home only and maybe you want something to play on the road. Either way you get a full experience from either one. Hey maybe you traded off your PS2 to get a PS3, you still have a PSP that you can play these games on. On both there are still game you can play on one that you cant play on the other, Heck you can connect a PSP to a TV now and STILL play them on a TV! I have a 42 inch TV that I can play Jeanne D'arc on but I can't play it on a PS2 BECAUSE IT'S not OUT, and even if they do eventually bring it out, I STILL DONT HAVE TO BUY IT!!!
Ah, jeez. Not another one. How many more 360 sequels are going to "grace" the PS3? Meh, won't be picking it up regardless.
H3ll yah alpha, you tell em :D :P It's true tho and for those without PSPs, they can enjoy the titles too.
