Take a look at Mirror's Edge's upcoming demoWe recently reported that Eidos Interactive reserved Tomb Raider: Underworld as a trademark. Unsurprisingly, this soon generated much speculation towards the direction that the Tomb Raider series will go in terms of concept and story.
Tomb Raider followers will soon enough catch a glimpse of what the upcoming title may deliver as Eidos is set to reveal the game in a number of ways. One of these includes an online marketing campaign that will kick off in January 2008.
However, it is currently unknown what form the game will be unveiled; in-game shots, concept art or pre-rendered footage? We will just have to wait and see.
Tomb Raider Underworld, as it is currently called, will be based on the Mayan calendar during a period where portals connecting the mortal world with the underworld existed. The title will release on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
PlayStation Universe will bring you more on Tomb Raider Underworld once it becomes available.

Really looking forward to the next installment in the series.
I almost wound if underworld the movie wont play a small or huge role. If anyone remembers the main girl in the game has two hand guns two kind the same look as TOMB RADER. geuse we will just half to wait and see.
If this speculation were to become true...how did the TR series get into this kind of story??? What happened to Indy style stories? Mummies? Cowboys and Indians? Soon it'll be t-viruses and zombies!?! Obviously I don't really know much about the Lara Croft series!?!
is there a remake of the orginal tomb raider planned for ps3?
@ princevegeta1980
I highly doubt that.
I was hoping this would be an exclusive. Oh well. I want to see an end to the story that was started with Legend. Don't leave us with a cliff hanger ending and then not finish it! I hate when game devs do that.
Hmm, never played any of the Tomb raiders, might try this one :D
psn id: gingo... hopefully this goes to back to the original ways and involves more puzzles and improves the shooting then it will be an ultimate tomb raider game
Haven't played a TR game since the original PS1 game. Hopefully this one will be worth a backtrack to the series.
