Mark Rein of Epic Games recently clarified the rumors regarding Unreal Tournament 3's release date and timed exclusivity on PlayStation 3.
Apparently, several individuals took Rein's previous statements in such a way that they believed that UT3 could possibly lose its timed console exclusivity on PS3. That isn't the case.
In a statement to GamesIndustry.biz, Rein reiterated: "The PS3 console exclusivity is not in doubt. We are shipping the game on the PS3 well before the Xbox 360 version ships. That's the version we are working on right now. We do not have a date for the Xbox 360 version."
Still currently on track for a November release, Unreal Tournament 3 will be demonstrated at the Tokyo Games Show later this month at a Sony press reception.

eh? i thought it was said that they might not be making the november deadline? Hmmmmm this has to stop either it is coming in november or it isn't, this rollercoaster is making me sick!
I'm still not sure if I want to get this game. If I do, I'll have 5-6 FPS games by the end of the year and I'm not that big of fan of this type of game(FPS)
Well they can't start working on the 360 version untill they have the PS3 version wrapped up, so if the PS3 version gets pushed back, so will the work the begin the 360 versio, right?
psn id: gingo... at least its still a timed exclusive but i reckon they will be trying their damnest to get it out before christmas
yet we still can't get Gears of War though huh
i think this is a good move made by sony it will be exciting to see how it looks and plays
already got mine preordered can't wait
Please, nobody bring up Gears of War on PS3. It will NEVER happen and lets just leave it at that. Its a MS exclusive. Thats like saying, will XBOX 360 ever get God Of War. No because its a Sony exclusive.
