The wait is almost over! Bethesda has announced that Fallout 3, the latest entry in the critically acclaimed RPG series, has finally gone gold.
Releasing ten years after the last numbered Fallout title, Bethesda has some big shoes to fill. Fans of the series have been known to hold a very high standard for any game bearing the Fallout title, and rightfully so.
Since the dissipation of Black Isle Studios, the creators of the Fallout universe, there has yet to be a game bearing the name that could match its predecessors. A lot of fans remain skeptical as to whether or not Bethesda can satisfy their expectations, but with the Elder Scrolls series under their belt, it's safe to assume that the franchise has fallen into capable hands.
For those of you that are unfamiliar with the game, imagine Washington D.C. 200 years after a nuclear war has ravaged the land. Fallout 3 allows you to create any kind of character you wish and expand on their skills and abilities as you fight to survive against mutants, ghouls, raiders, and other dangers on a journey to find your father.
The game is set to hit store shelves for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on October 28 in the United States and October 31 in Europe and Asia.

Sweet! I'll be picking this one up for sure.
Hope my ps3 gets fixed in time for me to be able to buy this one!
I've been waiting for a true Fallout game for a long time. I think Bethesda's going to do a great job.
Think this will be the FIRST RPG i have ever bought and played, RPG's have always seemd too japanezy and time consuming for me
Been looking forward to this since its announcement. As a die hard fan of previous fallout games and also of the elder srolls, i think Bethesda will do a great job in keeping in line with the fallout style and lore. Definitely one to pick up on day 1. (Man im gonna be broke...LBP, Far Cry 2,Fable 2, Fallout 3,Blitz the league II....Not to mention next months games...eek!)
There are so many great games coming out within like the next month, or two, but this and LBP are on the only 2 on my "must have list". I've learned to love the bomb :)
hopefully it will be brought forward a week or so what with a torrent going up of the full gmae
@bloodwarg: i think that torrent is the reviewers version of the game so im assuming that it isnt the "FULL" game per se...i think anyone would agree with me when i say its better to buy the retail version. P.S Piracy is a crime...you must be a complete BellCheddar to download any games from a torrent let alone make a dodgy copy available to the public. It doesnt do the industry any favors.
Thats good news to hear. Hoping for the best on this game.
have to let this one slide this go around..will take resistance 2 instead
