ask playstation fans if they still feel happy that tis coming to the PS3. most wont be happy. it was always on the ps3. it was never not coming to the ps3. i no longer care for this trailer or anything related to SE now

I told YOU. I want my props.  I said it in the forums.  That reason they wouldn't show any or this game is because we'd be able to notice right away that it wasn't up to PS3 spec.  It would have given away the FACT that ALL THIS TIME they were making a game that can run on the 360!  I knew it, I knew it, I knew it.  I said that we would be FLOODED with images and trailers and info after they cam clean, and it has begun.

 Really mixed feelings about this.  We're now getting a 360-level game.  Square, I've lost all respect for you guys.

im no PS3 fanboy, but when i bought my f**kin $600 console i thought i was going to get my mony's worth out of it. I could have saved a couple hundred dollars and have bought a 360 with only losing MGS4. Sure it was an amazing game but if i really wanted to see the story, i could have just watched it on youtube.  what do we seriously have left to call our own now? FPS are getting too old, and LBP isnt 4 me. I'm ready to jump ship and go over to the 360 side. We can only hope FFXIII Versus will stay with us. Sony better bring something huge to the table @ E3 or i will lose complete trust in them.

oh and to dinamo788 and anyone else who posts a similar comment, i think your taking this anouncement too far man. with the skyrocketing cost of developing a next gen game nowadays its getting hard to keep a big corperation like SE afloat if you only sell a game to one console, (no matter how many copies you sell).  And no matter how you look at it, more money = greater potential for better looking and playing games (i know it requires a lot more than that but you get my drift). Saying your not gonna get a game you would likely enjoy just because its not coming to 1 system exclusivly anymore is frankly dumb. You still get to play a great game and others that have only a 360 and cant afford a ps3 can as well.  How in any way should this affect your enjoyment of the game. Its still gonna be an awsome game.

 

This is what i hate about gaming nowadays, all the blatent constant fanboyism and all the hate to those that have a different system. Start enjoying gaming for the love of gaming for christ sakes. whatever platform it is on is completely irrelevent..

 

Oh and btw b4 anybody out there starts accusing me of being a MS fanboy i do not own any microsoft based consoles, i still prefer the ps3 (because of its multimedia capabilities, free online and blu ray mainly) but after the couple of years of microsoft slowly coming around to what we the consumer has been saying and sony blatently ignoring a of a lot of what we have to say, im finally gonn bite the bullet and once i have started work and am earnign enuf money i will be purchasing a 360 to go next to my ps3 and my wii, so i can enjoy all the great games for each console.

You know, I don't think anyone actually will care much now that Square Enix killed it's reputation and lied to the people who were faithful to them. Their games were the ONLY reason that I paid 600 dollars for a launch PS3. And now it's like it was a waste of my time and money. I'm so mother f_cking ANGRY!!

 The only Final Fantasy I've played is the 7th, and to be honest it was long and drawn out... All the rest lose my interest in an hour of play. I had a hard time finishing the 7th.

 

Anyway, this is yet another game in the FF series  that looks really stupid to me. The trailer made me lol and wonder wtf are they trying to show us...Anyway, I was on the fence about buying this game, and I could care less if there is ever another FF exclusive to Sony. End the series already...

They had to have paid SE something to get all that exclusive stuff and a lot of the other games from SE. This is bull, when did it get announced for the 360? If I'd of known about this in Feb - i'd of just bought a 360, as thats where all the RPGs are. -_- (Versus better stay exclusive or SE loses all my respect)

OKay first and foremost people you need to understand this. As long as multiple platforms exist there will always be fanboyism, you will never changes this so stop complaining about it. These people want support for their platform of choice if they dont fight for it they expect to see that platform fail and their investments become WORTHLESS. Stop saying love gaming for the sake of gaming because you cannot do that unless you are rich enough or have enough free time to support more than one console, not everyone can! it's just that simple.

 

For the rest of you complaining about SE: GET OVER YOURSELVES! screaming that SE sucks or saying you arnt going to buy the game for your chosen system does exactly the opposite of what you really want! Buying the game for your console is voting with your wallet, you you tell them you dont want it on PS3 then they have no choice but to seek out even MORE alternetive platforms. They are companies that need to make MONEY, these games cost hundreds of millions of dollars now and they need as many people to buy them as possible to really see a profit. You were told long before this generation started that Multiplatform games where going to become  A LOT more common, if you're still complaining a moaning today you have no one to blame but yourselves because YOU KNEW IT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN EVENTUALLY. SOMETHING YOU LOVED ON ONE CONSOLE WAS GOING TO MIGRATE! IF YOU IGNORED THAT THEN YOU WERE DELUSIONAL.

 

I've been saying it for the past year and a hald 3rd party games were NEVER going to be the desisive tipping point in this generation. ONLY 1st party software was ever going to show the true power of these systems. MGS4 is still in danger of being on 36* even if it does get a crap port, the sooner you realize this the sooner you can learn to enjoy your PS3s even in the middle of a console war. You CHOSE your system Support it by buying the games you konw you want to play whether they're multiplatform or not.

You STFU! You are probably some young dude who dont know the jeans about what people are saying and feeling. so what people have the right to say what they want. I think that now that the game is going to xbox it won't hold up to what the game would have been if it was only for ps3. It will lose some touch and it will lose te ps3 only feel. I bet you it will only use one xbox disc which mean that we will have 40gigs left on our blu ray. what good of having a system with so much power and it only be push one time so far with mgs4(thats what all games post to do with the ps3) and every other game looks the same because dev's are to scared to make one look better then the other because they don;t want people to boo them cause the ps3 games look better then the xbox game. But they didnt worry about that when the xbox1 games looked better then the ps2. now its a problem. these dev suck, thats why I only have a handfull of games because im not going to buy a game that every time it comes out the dev saying "we did everything we could and both systems look the same" thats F'in BS. Push our ps3 to the max , that mean use atleast 40gigs out of 50gigs 1080p put more detail in it add a little extra that couldn't go with the xbox and so why its best if you went with a ps3.

What I am concerned about is the final size of the game- will it be adjusted way smaller to fit on the MS Console. Or will they just make it like 4 dvd's compared to 1 blu-ray? Or maybe the whole game isnt even 1 dvd anyway if the development was focused around MS Console. Oh well, some people say whats the big deal- the deal is that I have played every other ff game and even star ocean game on my playstation console and now there gone- like people have sold out on the system I have had great memories with growing up.

well when devilmaycry went multiplat i said i wouldnt buy it, and i never did....same for this garbage... i dont want a second rate trash game...for all i care it's about as pointless as another movie-to-game release like spiderman or shreck or something.....  i think i will pass on this now...and its a shame....i will enjoy my games that retain their dignity and honor like LBP MGS4 and RFOM.   for some people honor and dignity is most important

I'm still recovering from the shock.  All I can say about the move is this. Let M$ have it, as far as I'm concern the fan base is on this side of the field. For that reason, I don’t think it will sell good on the 360. I know M$ paid deep for this one, and SE could not pass up the offer to make more green. As a business that is just how the ball bounces in the corporate world. I’m for certain that the game will use a 50gig Blu-ray disk for this one b/c SE is infamous for making massive games. So have fun changing 6 disks on the 360.

 

This does not change my mind about getting the game. It is still on my must have list and all those who are not getting it because of the move are only missing out. My first gut feeling was, I’m not getting this game anymore and that SE lost respect from me for selling out, but once I thought about it, it really is not that big of a deal.

 

Yeah, I think it's time to either pursue a new hobby or re-kindle an old one. This one's getting too expensive ($600 console, $60 titles) for such minimal results(shoddy multi-plat ports and EXTREMELY rare 3rd party ps3 exclusives). When others start to eventually feel like I do, thank m$ for bringing about another industry crash.

 

@ Dave-The-Rave - it has more of a chance of being a gimped port than a properly developed ps3 title. Just the fact that it's even going to the 360 says volumes of it's limitations compared to what it could have been.

@195SOUTH I totally agree with you dude. @Alpha2 I own all consoles and I gotta say I respect each consoles exclusives because I can understand how people feels when their favorite game migrates to other consoles often meaning that the game will not longer hold to the quality standards of one console because of the compromises of multideveloping. So everyone has a legitimate right of being mad when such things happens. I got my consoles because I wanted the best games each one could offer, but multiplatform games are just not the best they could be, these are just a sorry excuse to make money off a larger user base from less than good games. You must say that people who own multiple consoles don't have to worry about multiplatforming, but we care the most because we make a big investment to get the best and only the best of each console, and multiplatforming hampers that.

In the video game industry, it's better not to have competition in hardware. Microsoft had to come and blow everything up. Multiplatform titles simply suck. I'm glad Sony owns Team ICO.

Well I will definitely not be buying this game now, I guess its alright though because games with a female hero/main usually suck hairy sweaty hog balls. Remember Final Fantasy X-2 that games sucks so bad. XII was insanely boring too.

If you stack 1st party titles on the 360 and PS3 .... you will see the difrence.  Not to mention the quality and innovation.  You think Nintendo stayed in the game this long based on there 3rd party titles?

The thing is, is that Sony always has great RPGs never coming from Sony Studios though. Save for Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. Sony really needs to boost their 1st party games. The annoying thing is when they do every xbox fan complains how they lack innovation or they are lackluster, because they aren't as cool as halo or gears. I'm still hoping gears comes on the ps3 but we'll see. Im pretty annoyed at Square Enix's choice but whatever its business I'll still pick the title up. However (NO SEXISM involved) im not partial to a woman protagonist, it does feel to be a more male based game. FFXIII Versus will be much better imo

are you guys totally blinded by anger or just plain dumb? the ps3 version is near completion, which means we will be getting a ps3 version not the 360 version of FF13. 360 is getting a port or FF13 not the other way around. i swear some of you people are so ingorant and don't understand what you read. or is it you just can't comprehend what you read and you pick what you want to see? again ps3 version of FF13 is not and will not be a port from 360. each console will be getting their own version.
