NICE!  I guess this is from the exclusive they released from Japan last month.

im a huge FF fan....but why does it feel like they got new people working on the art work for the game....to me this does not look that awesome.....compared to there other awesome art work from other FF games

good fan art...come on, do you actually think this is straight from Square Enix?  Compare these shots to every other FF concept art in existence (that's officially from Square) and you'll see that these are phonies.

This is obviously not from Square. it simply doesn't have that "Square Artwork Quality" in it...

I'm willing to beleive these are official simply because not every artist at square has to be a brillian perfectionist. I mean even the designs for FF10-2 were signifigantly lower quality than the art for FF10 when you compare them because they werent all drawn by the same person. They have to have artist trainees or interns because otherwise it's harder to bring up new talent.

Character sketches for the sake of the design process are not all fully rendered art, some are scribbles in a sketch boo that are colored in photoshop to make a point like the list image, some art is drawn directly into a computer with a graphics tablet, no paper involved at all which can often create images like the top two or three.

Even if these aren't official, I still haven't seen that FF Versus XIII character before with the brown/orange hair. I can't wait for both of these games, ESPECIALLY Versus. It's the reason I got a PS3 in the first place.

Interesting stuff but I was more interesting in the trailers female artwork.
