Additonal Info:
Ubisoft has released the first gameplay footage of its highly anticipating next-generation Prince of Persia title.
The trailer focuses a great deal on co-operative play between the Prince and his female compatriot, as the pair scale huge structures and battle against various enemies. The acrobatics and combo attacks employed by the duo are quite eloquent to say the least.
View the trailer below.
Prince of Persia is scheduled for release in late 2008.

Looks interesting I guess. Kind of gay backround music though. lol

Hmmm one to watch perhaps...
I was never really into the POP series and i cant say im in love with the artistic style of this game but i definatley respect it enough to give it a chance.
That's looking distinctly last-gen if I'm honest with you and I'm no fan of this style. Especially as this isn't even a proper gameplay trailer, I was expecting a heck of a lot better. But still, it's early days yet, I hope this gets better in time.
Not a fan of Prince of persia series, however still need to see the review first.
looks interesting + i liked the music lol XD
looks poor
awesome
I've played the all the PoP's multiple times. The art direction and story-telling have been a great benchmark for other developers to gauge their efforts by.
Unfortunately they don't seem to have taken this in the direction I was hoping it was headed. I'm suprised and a little put off by the new cartoon styling. I will buy it and play it, but only in honor of the previous versions and to see where they are taking the storyline.
I guess they were trying to make it distinct from Assa. Creed but perhaps they would have been better taking the AC realism and adding better story-telling and cut-scenes. Something that AC did really badly.
Also AC didn't really provide us with much real gameplay, games are too easy nowadays and I found the old PoP's to be more challenging and therefore more enjoyable - actually getting stuck at times.
I hope this lives up to it's predecessors. I guess time will tell. The unique ability to reverse time is now gone so playing this may be more frustrating than previous incarnations. Here's hoping that Ubi have learnt from the HUGE mistakes with AC and provide us with a game rather than a technical showcase with a half-baked story presentation.
not to bad, it could be worst but not to bad
I'm gonna have to pick this up, I never really got into the Prince of Persia games (mainly because the protagonist is never really Iranian AKA Persian). But we'll see where this goes
well i wouldnt really call that in game so its hard to say how the game will look and play but i really do hope its good!
it looks like a comic book or a animated painting. i think i will wait till the game is out and a finish trailer is on the psn to see if i'm buying this
wow it kind of looks like okami (great game by the way) idk but i liked the trailer and the music i think it looks great.
why does it look like a cartoon...makes it look SHlT.
looks like they could use some tips from the developers of heavenly sword.....lol
nevermind heavenly sword was an exclusive...POP will never reach that level of goodness.
Too many haters in this rant...er I mean comment section. To me the artistic style suits the game perfectly and think the backgrounds look amazing. I will definitely pick this up.
Does this mean that POP on the PS3 will have framerate issues, hmm ubi?
JK! This game looks great, hoepfully it is a good experience.
wow, kind of a diferent direction tha the sands of time series on the ps2, but ill give it a chance, hopefully there will be a demo
