Well, it's about time a PS3 game (PS3 exclusive) has hit 1 million pre-orders. I never pre-ordered a game before until last year, but I really don't think that the amount of pre-orders a game gets is going to determine it's overall success. I mean, what's the use of pre-ordering a game if you can just walk in the store and pick it up? The game may sell out in a store, but there will be plenty of GT5 Prologue copies in a store to go around.

I did pre-order GTA4 and I will pre-order MGS4 next month, but I'm not going to pre-order GT5 Prologue, I'm just going to buy it in the store the day it comes out. I know that I will also pre-order Killzone 2 and Resistance 2, but every other game this year, I will probably just pick up in the store.

However, it's good to see that a Playstation 3 game title has already gone platinium in sales before it was actually released. GT is one of the Original Playstation franchise titles that started it all for the Playstation and I'm sure that both GT5 Prologue and GT5 will have very good sales. I can't wait to play GT5 Prologue because I'm just dying to play a realistic racing game.

I was gonna buy it on day one, after much internal debate, but I guess I'll pre-order it to add to the numbers of pre-orders.

Huge GT fan and will probably get the Eu version shipped, then buy the NA version, and also the PSN version!

Oh and the Blu-ray disc contains extra VIDEO behind the scenes footage the PSN version does not! stongly say buy the DISC...and it looks gud!

Awesome. I'm not much of a fan of the series but I know how awesome it is for people who like the driving genre. It's great to see such a HUGE franchise on our machine.

No.  COD4 was a quick word-of-mouth success.  There weren't a ton of preorders.  Anyway, I have my logitech wheel and I'm ready.  This is going to be so awesome.  But I can't believe that MGS4 doesn't have 1 million preorders...

1 million sales hasn't happened to anything, yet, because the only returning exclusive franchise we've had from the ps2 era was R+C! And I'm sorry but insomniac makes too many ratchet games. I know they're establishing a mario-like image, but you can't make all the games the same. Insomniac: mario was successful because of how many different kinds of games he was featured in. All you guys are doing is remixing the same stuff.

 

nonetheless, it's great to see 2k8 live up to expectations :) I can only imagine the preorders from FF13!

Is this "1 million preorders in Europe", seeing as its SCEE that confirmed it? If so that's unbelievable! Even if it is worldwide that's oretty awesome. Guaranteed 1 million sales in the first few days...Wow.

60 + cars, 6 tracks 16 player online, car customization... no my friend this is more like a small game than a glorified demo. And I'm glad that it's 40 usd, because at first I thought it was 60. Add me to that list of preoderers! see you in :( April O yeah @ Demobot its not like the burnout demo its GT5 Prologue. It's full enough for me. Fills the GT5 needs until GT5 is released

Also once GT5 is release all the save data on the prologue gets transfered, so you start ahead of people who didnt have the prologue, u have better cars and your earned credits!

I will give you a good reason to preorder I have paid £17.99  inlc vat & del(play.com) game will be delivered to me release day will be £24.99 in shops. Also to Demobot  71cars,6 tracks f/r full online & access to GTTV demo's have 1 maybe 2 levels limited or no online and limited features it has more features than a lot of games released on PS3 & 360 for half the price of a what you call a full game.
