Activision has announced it is teaming up with Pontiac and Hot Topic to launch a national tour promoting the company’s recently released music simulation title, Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock.
The tour is open to consumers of ages 16 years and over, who will be given the chance to showcase their skills on the new title to compete for the ultimate prize; a brand new 2008 Pontiac G5.
Dates and venues for the tour, which is to run for one month, are as follows:
11/8 Orland Park, IL (Chicago) Orland Square
11/12 Paramus, NJ (New York/Newark) Garden State Plaza
11/15 Buford, GA (Atlanta) Mall of Georgia
11/19 Austin, TX Barton Creek
11/26 Phoenix, AZ Metro Center Mall
11/29 Las Vegas, NV Meadows Mall
12/3 Northridge, CA (Los Angeles) Northridge Fashion Center
12/5 San Francisco, CA San Francisco Center
Participants at each venue will be required to enter qualifying stages between 3.00pm – 6.00pm, where the top eight scores from the Qualifying Round will be taken to the Semi-Final Round, which will follow immediately afterwards.
Furthermore, winners at each of the eight venues will receive a USD 100 gift card from Hot Topic, before submitting their scores and song to determine which two finalists will be inducted into the Grand Final, where they will compete for the prize vehicle in front of the game creators in Los Angeles, California.
Registrations are now open designated Hot Topic stores across the country.

Well, we do have our own E3 (very mini version of the US of course!) show happening next week though, I doubt there'll be a comp to win a Holden or Ford though!?!
