Afro Samurai confirmed for European releaseSpeaking in an interview with Japanese newspaper Yomiuri Shimbun, Hideo Kojima, creator of Konami’s celebrated Metal Gear franchise, revealed his top five most influential videogames of all time.
As reported by Gamerush, Kojima singled out the following games:
- Super Mario Bros. series
- Portopia Renzoku Satsujin Jiken
- Xevious
- Outer World (known as Out of this World in U.S.)
- Metal Gear Solid
Kojima commented: “Games are a composite art that evolves absorbing new technologies,” adding that he hoped to “create a big wave” in the videogames industry.

I love how he names his own game.. but I'll give him props for Out of This World, I loved that game
Well,MGS 1 is one of his best games.He agrees and us fans do.

Miyamoto wil be dancing around his front room at this news.
I'm sure he names MGS because it's the game that's made him so much money for one thing. But also because it's the game that let him tell a story the way he most wants it told. All the other games are because they were the most exciting games to play for their time or because they were just plain fun to play.
Besides any japanese developer would be a fool not to include a Miyamoto game in his list... you know like Itagaki who actually said he could make a better mario game than him.

MGS is still considered one of the best of the group beating MGS3 and the more current MGS4 for top spot.

Resident Evil 4. There. I said it. Best Game Ever. Closely followed by Goldeneye for the N64.
msg4... made me cry, first game to ever make me cry.... well really it was just shed a tear or two, but still it was a very very good game. athough, um i forgot her name, but she was the sniper in MSG, that scene was also very touching.
