This fabrication wasn't even done correctly, it doesn't resemble the XMB on the PS3!!!  Bad job, bad pic, bad hoax! 

BTW, I think it's a PSP XMB being displayed on a large 50 hz tv screen using the PSP AV cable!!  (100hz lcd/plasma screen wouldn't show 'ghost shadows' when photographed!! Would it??

While you're probably correct, what's to say it's not the PS3 XMB on a 50hz TV? Either way, it is a bad hoax. The blur was clearly done on purpose to try and obscure a bad photochop. Seeing as nothing would actually be moving on the screen, the blur would be caused by a jittery hand (perhaps making the display frequency of the TV negligible?). Surely if you were to show off the 'only evidence' of the PS3 in-game XMB, you would take a few extra seconds to stablise your hand! :P

Its a shame... it should awaken sony. we PS3 users want in game XMB .... NOW! just how hard can it be to program and release in an update, maybe not full blown in game xmb for the time being, just a basic one that will at least let us read messages! sony you are taking your sweet old time with everything ps3 related and youre getting hammered for it!

Apparently the problem lies in how much memory is available to run an in-game xmb. 

not to mention...isn't the game called Resistance: Fall of Man... putting emphasis on the colon :? At least thats what i remember it said last time i played. I think dude who made this forgot that little detail..... hopefully my first post on this site is a good one...lol

Well that clears up speculation.. but it looks like a fake regardless. If/when the XMB is integrated into a game-overlay it'll probebly remain similar to the setup its got at the moment, only with certain icons and areas restricted for outside use (for example community, settings, videos, pictures and users). So really all we can expect are the general stuff, plus maybe some online stuff, music and of course extra game options. Thats all thats gonna be in there really. Which will still be handy, but i think people are really expecting too much.

The ghosting/ rainbow effect happens on DLP's. A similar effect happens on my TV ever so often when I am extremely close. But my HDTV wasn't ment to be viewed at such a close range.

son of a, but im sure sony's real xmb looks much better and more innovative than say the 360's. 

its weird that the shot is usin RFOM because so far that is the only ps3 game u can send a XMB message from inside the game from the online menu

I dont know why so much hassle with this XBM I dont need one in a game,u might think that PS3 is like a super computer but it still a console and ram is a bit limit

@Carl: They usually don't but with a high profile feature like this, it's pretty much a given that they debunk this.

It's almost a believeable fake, but it seems if the ghosting didn't give it away, it was the lack of XMB buttons.  I don't know if Sony plans to cut down buttons for XMB or use the normal, but until I hear this from Sony, it's all speculation.

why is everyone saying it's delayed, it never had a release date. one of the reasons on why it's probably taking so long is because it takes up memory in the ps3 and not the hdd, so calm down please because i want it just as bad as you guys.

I thought this would be an ok XMB, because it least we would have one even if it was like this. i didnt think it was too bad idont think everone would complain if we had one like this because we would HAVE ONE!

i wish sony didnt focus on the whole XMB ingame, if u could get friends list with voice chat, and the music, it would really be a start, i don't need video,photo, browsing support or anything like that, and i really don't think people NEED to have any of that. Bit not being able to talk to your friends ingame without speaking to a whole team of people from half the world, just isn't good. I am so tired of waiting for this! there is always one guy who keeps on yelling and saying crap ALL the time, when playing online.

Sony is working on it so it will come, but then you have stupid people loke this getting everyone's hopes up for nothing.

in game xmb like alt tab on the computer and i couldnt stand having a computer game running with out the ability to use alt tab
