James Stevenson, Community Relations Manager for Insomniac Games, has said that the company will be releasing more information on its upcoming PlayStation 3 sequel Resistance 2 in a podcast this Thursday.
Speaking in a post on the official PlayStation Blog, Stevenson reiterated that the next trailer and gameplay footage would be released on June 13; however, he also said that more information would be detailed in an upcoming podcast later this week.
“The next trailer and worldwide gameplay footage debut will be on the June 13th episode of Gametrailers TV with Geoff Keighley (it’s a full episode covering R2),” said Stevenson. “In the meantime, check out the teaser, and don’t worry, you’ll be hearing more from us before June.”
“Check out the April 17th Full Moon Show Podcast (www.insomniacgames.com) for more details about the teaser and about R2. And, if you have any questions, Bryan Intihar and I will be hanging out in the comments section tonight to answer them!” he added.
Resistance 2’s debut trailer was shown for the first time over the weekend. The game itself is due out in November 2008.

Teaser looked great, hope the real gameplay will look almost as good as the FMV.
I thought this was already dated at the end of the teaser trailer, maybe i was seeing things.
Resistance 1 set a standard! Positive aura emanates from it since it was one of the first game release for the PS3 and still one of the most played online on the PS3.
Now, with more experience and more acostumed to the PS3 hardware they must deliver!!!

R2 is going to be a beast.
I was pleasantly suprised how good R1 was, it definatley exceeded my expectations. The new one sounds like it's gonna rock. The date of the next trailer was announced at the end of the teaser.

The Teaser Trailer for Resistance 2 felt like the whole game had a different type of atmosphere, and finally we hear Nathan Hale speak in the trailer. I'm thinking that Insomnaic probably did that on purpose by not having Hale speak in the first game because they wanted us to figure out his character. It reminds me of Jak and Daxter in some ways because in the first Jak and Daxter game, Jak didn't talk any, but in the other games he did.

Insomniac don't use FMV's or CGI...don't be surprised if thats all in-engine.
will the next resistance have split screen online, like warhawk? I just don't feel like their's enough games out there that offer it. A lot of the time, we get tired of playin just each other. : )
I wonder if Insomniac will include some kind of special feature in the campaign or multiplayer if you have a Resistance FOM save file on your HDD.
