Cryptic messaging abound as Guerrilla Games hint towards Killzone 2 and Home interactivity.
In the recent issue of Official PlayStation Magazine, a hands-on with the highly anticipated title was detailed. When questioning the games producer, Steven Ter Heide, about the multiplayer, he had this to say: “[There’s] a lot of interesting things we're going to be able to do. But we can't talk about it yet. Home is also very interesting. There's a lot of opportunity there, and it’s all part of our multiplayer strategy.”
What does this mean? Maybe when you’re walking around the ‘Home’ environment, you can challenge random people to Killzone duels? Or maybe have an actual battle in the Home world, where Helghast invade and Home characters take up arms for some kick-ass co-operative play?
With a still unconfirmed release date sometime in 2008, hopefully more details will start emerging on this much hyped title.
Stay tuned.

a free for all in home that could be entertaining... and wut if others fps did the same thing haze vs killzone ZOMG
o heck ya!
the two engines are far too different for anything like that to happen, it'll probably just be starting multiplayer rooms from home , trophies and customization options...
well i just think that it would be cool if it did happen... hey i guy can dream cant he?
HAHAHAHAHA ....no this will never ever happen forget it any way i thoguht it told us all games where accesable form home .....-.-
Talk about far out. lol ;)
I expect some sort of launch into game with a friend sort of thing.
i think that cross game multiplayer is possible but it will proably be a long time before any one puts in the effort . as for home it is impossible the play killzone in a home enivroment unless the desginers of kill zone incorperate a home lvl in their game to run on their engine which i dought but you may seee a helgast or what ever they are called out fit they did that sort of thign wiht the japonese home . BUT i would like to state that i think death match in the first person shooter styles we see today is the worst game mode ever. RAIDS INVASIONS DEFENSES 1 side defeding the other repelling i think that is the best style of game play but not the both sides scrambling for bases so much either 2 differnt teams is what i say
psn id: gingoisthelord thats a kool idea.
hmm looks like Guerilla is putting in alot of effort in to KZ2
if KZ2 turns out amazing(it already does and its still far form launch)
then Guerilla will have proved all the doubters wrong...
i havent played KZ1 yet but im gonna pick it up on my next payday...
The two games I'm waiting for most of all are MGS4 and Bioshock. For some reason I dont get as excited about Killzone 2 because I didnt find the PS2 game a very enjoyable experience - it was sort of OK but nothing of any real note.
No - for me; MGS4 and Bioshock will be the pick of the crop.
How cool would that be walking around HOME just bee booping and then a Killzone duel breaks out and you morph into a Helghast, dont think it will happen but sounds cool...
Trophies and customization options as Alpha2 said. Maybe even Killzone clothes for your HOME avitar.
@ Xdeth I agree. I didn't think about the clothes thing, that's a good idea too. I'm sure it will be some kind of trophy-type thing as Sony would want to incorporate this HUGE title into Home. Just like Lair, Warhawk, and any other first party titiles.
I bet they come out with helghast gear to wear those....ala Rachet and Clank
Spring 2008 is taking so long to come here already
They're still attempting to make FPS games? Halo 3 was the pinnacle of the genre.
Man,PSU can think far......
psn id:gingo...i think a lot of new games coming out will utilie homes features and by 2010 most games will have fully integrated home support
i've heard about this, well mostly of HOME at the Sony E3 conference this year.
@ 17 Lol, With UT3, HL: Episode 2 and Killzone coming.......
People said that about OoT and that they should never make a adventure game again................
Can't wait for this monstrosity..................Scatter Grenade.....
Maybe wear Helghan helmets or armor on your avatar? Open environment for people in KZ armor to battle or play? Killzone dodgeball!!! ISA vs Helghast!!!
It'd be cool to be able to shoot other Home users as well.
this should be a to hot to tuch game, its going to be bette rthan halo for sure.
sounds farfetched
"They're still attempting to make FPS games? Halo 3 was the pinnacle of the genre"
HAHAHAHA!!!!...all halo 3 is just a well built FPS, nothing more....nothing less... Not saying it is bad, it just is NOT the pinnacle of the genre....
finally Killzone 2 isn't overshadowed..... i doubt that home thing.... but ripping off Halo3's movie thing would be cool for home.... like edit a clip to share, or constantly be playing on the bravia in your apartment...lol... who knows... we could go on for days huh?...lol
mabye there will be a special killzone part of home that only ppl that own killzone can go into and theres just random fights
Out side of what I said before the only possible thought would be if you could actually create movies like the Halo set upBut wohat might be cooler is if you could watch multiplayer matches on TV sort of like a sporting event inside Home.
Captain Obvious strikes again!
What I think would be great is to be able to wander around (invisibly) during a match as an observer. Or while wandering around Home, you can enter a door with the Helghast emblem: insta-match!
.....
Sounds very good...
