It has been confirmed numerous times that Lair works via Remote Play on the PlayStation Portable. We should note, however, that it isn't the PSP hardware that is running the game; while Sony’s handheld controls the action, the processing power itself is actually handled by the PlayStation 3.
The only downside to the PSP mock version of Lair is that it simply doesn't implement the full experience. Dragons are controllable with the PSP's handle, but R2 or L2 do not work---so landing becomes impossible.
Warhawk and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 have both been tried on Remote Play, but failed to function as adequately as Factor 5’s Dragon-slaying epic.

Even though Lair isn't fully compatible on the handheld, the possibilities of such a discovery are endless. Imagine Final Fantasy XIII on the PSP. Even if not all games are supported, the prospect remains interesting.

Thats crazy. I wonder how well the PSP thumbsticks actually control the dragon.
Credit should be given to Dubbedinenglish as he was the first to discover this. I changed the wikipedia page to suit as well. Lot's of things could arise from this..
yeah that just wierd
That's awesome :D
Why don't they use the PSP for additional control instead of taking over control? ie. GRAW2 the PSP could have been used to control the drones. In other games the PSP should be used to view a map, radar, control inventory, ...
It would seem that devs don't have any innovative ideas to make use of the PSP for additional gameplay.
i remember this feature being talked about back in E3 '05...this is the first game to use this feature so far, so there are many games in the future that will be able to use the Remote Play feature...man imagine KZ2 on PSP lol
I wonder the possibilities if you were able to plug the Sixaxis into the PSP USB port to control the game. It would be SICKKKKKKKK if that was available in a future update. Sony??????
Hmm.. This could be a good idea for games like GRAW 2, the initial player takes control of the main guy, whereas another person works the PSP, and could fly the drone around without interupting the player. This would be sweet.
Would anyone actually believe it if they said "Lair running on PSP?" just to have to explain that is ridiculous.
No thanks,i'll be buying this game for the motion control.
what ever way you look at it, its COOOOLLLLL!! Lets see you try and better that Mr gates
It should be possible to access the game at other wifi accesspoints.. like the psp can access the ps3's movies and music today...
Like a rearview mirror in racing games, or a robot in MGS4...
seems pointless to me. just play it on ur tv its a bigger screen and apparently u can land using it
psn id: gingo.... this is great for the future becasue it shows companies realise this possiblity and could implement it in games to make the games even better
This would be sweet for all games. It would be even better if we could load our games to the HDD and didnt need the disc in for us to play, that way we would have full access to our game library no matter where we are.
One word...AWESOME!:D
I just hope for everyone's sake that this kind of thing doesn't take off. We don't want MS taking a stab at portables.*Shudders* They can't make home consoles. I'd hate to see a handheld.
this twin towers.
now all that is needed is they should add motion senceing to the PSP for more control options
hey...since it can play games now in RP, what about DVDs and CDs in the disk drive??? That was another thingpeople have been looking for...
damn ps3 is the muthaf*king king agree with daz load game anytime anywhere with saved data totally agree
