2 1/2 years r u crazy maybe 1 1/2 years and yes the series is awesome can check em out on ps2 for very cheap if u cant find 1 and 2 screw capcom and mh3 bring on dc3

If you have not played the first two on PS2 - I strongly recommend you do. PAL regions the first title is known as Dark Cloud (instead of Dark Chronicle). This RPG is in my all time top 10 (and Ive played a lot).

Darkcloud was petty mediocre.  The game featured extremely basic randomly generated levels. 

I never played the sequel, so  I cannot comment on it, but if #3 is anything like #1, its not even worth renting.

I'd say this is pretty reliable. seeing as how the only other consloe they have supported was the DS. oh and they atempted to make "TRUE FANTACY ONLINE" for the original xbox and then cancled it.

Nice, makes sense but glad its mentioned because of how the previous dark clouds were on sonys format. I hope the kumo engine is cool too :).

In addition to my personal feeling that the series is very good; GameSpot rates it as "Great" with an 8.1 out of a possible 10 and IGN gives the second in the series a mark of "Outstanding" with an 9.0.

I absolutely loved the first Dark Cloud; never got to play the sequel.  Plenty of time to get it before March 2009.

Aren't Level 5 developers of LAIR.Because then i expect nothing but good things from these guys.

No, that's Factor 5. Level 5 is known for their fantastic cel-shaded JRPG's. Dark Cloud / Dark Chronicle, Dragon Quest and Rogue Galaxy.

That reminds me LittleBigPimp - Rogue Galaxy is hardly meantioned and is sadly an underrated game. Again this is another RPG worth playing if you have not tried it. With all this waiting for games to find there way to PS3 we might have to go back and revisit some of the PS2 titles. All the more reason to have backward compatibility.

that 1st game was a big step in my gaming history it really drew me in and i like became a part of the game/world around me in it =D

Dark Cloud was a good game, so hopefully DC3 will be good as well.  I'm more focused on WKC, though. :p

Yep this is going to be awesome. Dark chronicles on the ps2 was a hit. And seeing how far L5 has gone with sony i am pretty sure they will do a great job. Nevertheless I wish they could increase the in-game speed of White Night Chronicles.

I've always wanted Dark Cloud and still do, just never got around to buying it and I had had forgotten all about it. It must be a rare game as I never see used copies of it at retail.

If I'm not mistaken, in Dark Cloud you could build your own villages so they appear in the game as you built them for you to explore?

YES the ps3 is finally showing to the world just how bad-ass it is.

i love dark cloud i have been waiting for a LONG time for the 3rd instalment ... but ... i have no PS3 :( ... WHY NOT WII OR 360!!! ............. but its coming out in 2009 i have plenty of time to get a PS3 :D ... but i have to perswade my parents ... witch i have a feeling ... its gonna be a no :S

Well FINALLY! I have the official Dark Cloud 2 art book from Japan, and at the back, it says, "Dark Cloud/Chronicle fans! (chronicle is Dark Cloud 2, the English changed the title) A new title is coming!" or something like that. There was a sihlouette of a girl who looked like a nurse, and a weird looking guy who uses swords... Yeah. That's all I got, and I read a little in hiragana. It looks good! X3 Also looks very modern, which is OK, I guess... I can't wait!!!
