Scheduled to launch alongside the game on June 12, 2008, the Welcome Box contains a 40GB PlayStation 3 console, a copy of the game, a DualShock 3 pad, and a standard Sixaxis controller.
The bundle will cost approximately JPY 49,800.
It is currently unknown whether or not this bundle will be released outside of Japan. Three colours will be available; Black, White and Silver. See below for some packaging art.

Excellente newsa!!!
Keep em coming keeeeeep em coming!!!
DAMN IT SONY! Show some love over here in the states. Please for the love of Sniper Wolf spread the wealth. If they had this same bundle here in the states, it would be a very hot summer for Sony.
In the mean time we here in Europe still wait for Konami to announce a damn collectors edition release...
psn id: gingo.... that is quite a good deal although i dont see why they dont give two DS3's instead of a sixaxis aswell
so... why a SIXAXIS and a Dualshock ?.. ah well.. some people dont like rumble.. and they have to get rid of the old controllers somehow :p (not that i don't like the sixaxis.. the dualshock just.. can do more things.. ie rumble and motion sence)
us in europe havent even gota 60GB or a 80GB version!!! sony better announce the new 80GB for uk with DS3 and MGS4
If they released them in Ireland (Europe) I would go get one, then I'd have my own :-)
so cool! the welcome box. lol i almost thought it was a demo coming out before the game. i was like could it be!!!!????? lol but, still awesome. i hope this comes to america. i might buy it with my tax moneys. that's a deal too. two controllers 1 game and ps3. omfg!
What a great way to get rid of the remaining SIXAXIS controllers. HAWT!
I wont be getting another ps3 if they dont change that 40gb one. I want all the bells and wistles just like my 60gb
Why in the world does Japan get all of the PS3 colors, I just don't get it. Sony really likes treating it's Japanese customers to the goodies. But here in the U.S. we get the 80GB PS3 MGS4 bundle, so it all works out nicely.
If Sony comes out with a Slim PS3, I hope that they come out with different colors here in the U.S. or something, because I'm definanlty going to buy a second PS3 if they do.
I don't understand why Sony would release them in a variety of colors in Japan and sometimes Europe, but never North America? Nothing bugs me more than having the same color console as everybody else. It makes other people think that people in North America have no taste. Sure, Sony released a white color PSP in North America, but that isn't enough. Wake up and smell the coffee. People in North America want variety, not generic.
If you don't have a PS3 by now, what have you been waiting for?
3 different coloured ps3's. Come on, so far we only have 1.
damn it, i dont care about all this new other crap coming out i just been dieing to play the game!!!!!!!!!!
Why won't sony import these options to the US? On another note, I have been playing the MGO beta since yesterday, and I'm not really that impressed. I think it will be fine if they just include it with the game, but I can't see anyone paying for it seperately. The game just doesn't seem to make sense in a multiplayer format, the controls feel a little clunky, and the stealth aspect of the game is lost. It just ends up feeling like very slow paced third person shooter. I still have high hopes for the single player though.
