Damn, i wish i wouldnt have bought my PS3 earlier, i could have gotten a better PS3 sku, and got MGS4. Well whoever is going to buy this bundle shoudld be very very happy.

This game is hyped so so much amongst us ps3 gamers to be honest the first one was good the second not bad but the third was terrible the camera was a total mess i must admit it's got to much of a japenese element in it for me and alot of ps3 gamers think this game is going to be the saviour of ps3 i would have to say you either love it or hate it a typical marmite game, now killzone two now your talking.

@ leeman, i totally disagree. you do know that MGS 3 won ps2 game of the year on many sites, including IGN? the story was sick and i loved the camoflouge system. anyways, sweet deal, you get the motorstorm bundle but with a better game and a better controller. it adds about 50 bucks of extra value for free.

@ leeman99. are you serious? who cares if its hyped this is one of the few games that it lives up to the hype. You clearly ahve never played other MGS's on a serious level to say that its hyped too much. This game will be godlike (might even topple my favs: RE4, MGS2)

The metal gear series in my opinion the best gaming series that there ever has been and probably ever, but i do agree with leemen that you either love or hate but luckly for Mgs nearly everybody loves it. This is the reason i got a ps3

what? so they announced the discontinuation of the 80gb model.....then theyre bringing this out? im confused does this mean that this bundle is the only way to get the 80gb? are they bringing a new SKU out? and what about europe?

@leeman: Wow are you kidding me? You may have hated the camera in Snake Eater but when Snake Eater Subsistence got released that got fixed up and it pretty much made the game perfect, it already was in my eyes, but with the new camera it gave us a glimpse into MGS4. I have played MGS4 (one of the first Americans to get that honor*cough*cough) and it is AWESOME. You realize you're playing something special as soon as you pick it up. And the part I played in the demo didn't show any of the awesome bosses or anything supernatural it was just regular combat. I can't even imagine what kind of boss battles are you gonna go down. And Killzone? Are you kidding me? The first one sucked so much and while the story was solid it wasn't like it felt epic or anything. You're probably one of those dudes that is only waiting for Killzone 2 because of the graphics. I'm more anxious for Resistance 2 and Haze then Killzone 2.

Well, this is good news. All I can say is PS3's will be flying off shelves. In June I bet that the PS3 will sell at least 1 million units just in the U.S. Metal Gear Solid 4 has been the game that so many people have been waiting for before they get a PS3 and now that MGS4 will be packaged with the PS3, they have no choice but to get the PS3.

Sony is just genious..... PS3+MGS4 packaged with PS3= PS3 Takeover!!! Ha ha ha!!! The Xbox 360 has a bunch of crappy games packaged with the console, but at least Sony has been packaging some of it's best games with the system from the start (Motorstorm). Microsoft will have to start packaging Gears of War 2 or one of it's "exclusives" if they want to compete with the PS3 now.

so is this bundle backwards compatible? i really dont want to buy a model that doesnt support that.

Allowing people to prepurchase the game at full price in exchange for automatic beta testing rights is pure marketing genius.  That sates hardcore fans hunger for the game and also brings in early revenue.  Best marketing idea i can remember hearing.  I wish they did that for all games.

I can't wait for this game!!! One question though, how can you preorder the game and get into a beta that's in April when the game isn't out until June? I must be missing something....

It would be nice to know if its around June/July but its a long ways off before its even being reliease for that exact date.

I never ever pre-order console game software, looks like MGS4 will be the exception :).

Nice for anyone who hasn't got a PS3 yet and drives the nail further into the early adopters heads.  Glad to at least see the 80GB PS3 continuing to be produced.

Stickemup everyone is entitled to there opinions you may find sonic rocks now i prefer mario, if you like mgs all good and well, though i do like good graphics in games but inovation and game play is and should be first choice though the two should go hand in hand together with good graphics, i really enjoyed mgs1which was excellent but mgs 2 was aright but mgs3 spoilt my experience due to the shoddy camera, i think fans of the genre are looking forward too it more, i'm not criticising the game that's all i'm saying is it's a marmite game you either love it or hate it, i will rent it first to see what it's like, well i'm really looking forward too killzone2 and LBP, haze, RFOM2, well there plenty of genres and hey let's keep it civil amongst us fellow ps3 gamers as the xbots would really like us fellow ps3 gamers arguing, ps3 is the best FACT.

What's the bet the Japanese will get a better looking bundle than the US!?!  They'll prolly get a Limited Edition PS3 ! Whether it's a new color or a metal gear stealth colored skin on the PS3!!! Hoo knows....but I care.

To everyone who let unconfirmed rumors drive them to by a 40GB PS3 because they believed a bunch of dorks freaking out in forums everywhere, I say this...wait for official announcements.  MGS4 or no MGS4, they needed a new SKU JUST FOR THE new dualshock controllers.

@ 37, MGS4 will contain a starter pack for Metal Gear Online.  The full version will be a separate game.

heck ya. i already have it pre-ordered and fully paid for. going to go and get it at the midnight release. while your asleep i will be playing it. and i'll probably get a ticket driving back home to fast.  i'll probably overheat my ps3 and melt my xbox 360. sorry box fans we get it and you don't.

As much as I love that bundle deal, my PS3 60GB is too precious to me to trade-in and try to snag that awesome deal.
