If you’re like us, you love baseball as much as we do. Especially when it comes to the #1 franchise available for the PlayStation 2 and 3, and PSP, obviously, we’re talking about MLB 08: The Show.
Earlier today, SCEA finally announced that Ryan Howard will be gracing the cover of MLB 08: The Show. Ryan Howard has quickly risen as one of the best young stars in baseball today. We’re sure that there will be a strong showing of support from fans for the decision that was made.
SCEA had this to say about Ryan, personally, "Ryan Howard's personality and work ethic exemplify what our baseball franchise is all about and we are thrilled he has chosen to represent MLB 08 THE SHOW," said Scott Steinberg, the vice president of product marketing at SCEA. "Howard has worked hard to establish himself as one of the most exciting players in the game and we look forward to him continuing the tradition of MLB THE SHOW athletes having amazing years while being featured on the cover of our game."
With a slew of awards ranging from Rookie of the Years to MVP’s, this is just one more accolade Ryan Howard can add to the list in his very young career. MLB 08: The Show is scheduled to hit shelves March 4th.

FIRST POST YEAH!!!!! Gingo is de man!!! Ps3 will not win this console war despite having the better console as xbox has too much of a lead and they wil prob hav a new console by the end of 2009.
@freshboy wut r u talking about how is what ur saying relevant to this topic at all its tallking about a baseball game not the console war lol
What the helI, FreshBoy? GTFO. If M$ were to release a new console at the end of 2009, it means utter fail for both 360 AND the new Xbox. So no, saying that Sony won't catch up in time is false.
Baseball suc.ks!
@Clarky .... o_O
They should have put Vlad Guerrero on the cover. Vlad > Ron Howard
i strongly agree with tom ass
psn id: gingo... @Freshboy.....i see you brought many constructive points into this article, obviously anouncing that you got first post is the main point therefore had to be in capital letters because you get a special reward when you get so many first posts, then obviously saying that about me was total praise and had no mocking tone about it so i am so very grateful and totally changing the subject is what we love to see here on articles talking about a game when really we want fanboys like yourself coming and making stupid points that wouldn't even go down well on an xbox site so we're all so glad you joined and made this website a better place
I'm totally with Tom, Vlad would have been a better pick or maybe Pujols
I would like to see them start putting out multiple covers for the sports games. Here they could take 3 of the top players and make a cover for each one. Say Vlad, Pujols, and Ichiro. For NBA 09 they could have Kobe, Nash, Duncan covers. Same with NFL, NHL, FIFA, etc. that would be kool
it really doesn't matter who is on the cover, still gonna get the game.
Seriously FreshBoy, take your fanboy flamer comments somewhere else. We already know there is a new 360 coming out within the next year. Congrats on being the dumbest troll ever. I wish we could have a button to report a a troll comment and IP ban them.

As for the article, I can't stand baseball in person, let alone a video game. Just way too boring.
The best baseball game is back, cant wait.
Sorry all u fanboy F**KHEADS I did say de ps3 was de better console!!! Gingo rules!! NOW U!!!!! FreshBoy out!!
PSN ID: Damodar
Nobody else found this sentence f**king brilliant? "If you’re like us, you love baseball as much as we do." If that's not a joke, PSU journalism may have reached a new low. Actually, probably not, considering the standard...
Not a fan of BaseBall itself, but i'm thinking of getting this one.
