The grass looks better on the 08 ones than the 09 ones lol

for one thing ...the grass looks more defined. Look a little closer. Another thing is .....we havent even seen any videos and you guys are knocking it..lol ..don't jump yet this one will be great !

after playing 08 i wouldn't touch this game with a 200 foot pole. it looked worse than football games on the ps2.

Hey Bonham, you're very optimistic! There is no such thing as a good Madden game. It's all about gameplay, graphics might be all right but it's about gameplay and realism and Madden and EA lack both. Better luck with Madden 10, maybe! SonyJunkie has no taste whatsoever!

I think the '09 version looks amazing, so much better than the '08 version. I have no idea what you guys are looking at. You are just bashing the game cause its EA. Everyone hates EA, but come on, this looks good. And from what ive heard from the PSu article, its sounds pretty good to me. Ive always like Madden games, never had a problem with them. Even '08 was good for me.

the difference is on the details/.. And 09 looks much better.. Technically speaking.. Look at the players muscle detail, face and hand/foot planting!

So the faces look a little better...other than that they look the same

wow it actually looks closer to that render before all the next gen cosoles came out.  might actually pick this up and it will be the first sports game i have ever bought. 

Its not a major graphical overhaul; just subtle, yet noticable (spelling right?) details as mentioned in the article. I hope NBA 09 or NBA 2K9 turns out to be more than subtle!

the top two pictures are the exact same. both player models are doin the exact same thing

@terminator12259, lol are you kidding me? The top two pictures are not exactly the same! Yes the models are doing the same animation almost which is good when you're trying to compare different years. The grass for one thing is alot better looking just by the pictures, how can you people say it looks exactly the same? Just because you hate EA and you think madden is bad, don't assume and judge everything before you even see the game or the final product! Stop your complaining, nobody cares if you're never gonna play the game!

Playing in the snow looks like the best way to play.

The only thing I notice is better shadowing on the up close views, but you have to zoom on pics to even tell.  Basically the same.  The grass looks fake in both maddens lol.  I love madden but game play has been getting worse so we will see about 09

stop complaining! if you hate madden so much why do you constantly check up on it. cant wait personally.  maybe they will actually give the buccs some love on the ratings side. but i doubt it. everyone hates on 'em

Whoever said the graphics suck is an idiot.  Graphics were (almost) never the problem with Madden.  It's the fact that they charged you $50 (now $60) a year for what essentially is a roster update and a server fee.
