Messiah Entertainment to release PS3 triggers in NA

Posted on February 29th, 2008 at 13:59 EDT

Some of you may have heard about Giotech's L2+R2 trigger attachments for the PlayStation 3 Sixaxis/DualShock 3 that came packaged with copies of PSM3 in Europe.  However, if you live in North America, you're aware that retailers aren't often found that carry this specific magazine.  Messiah Entertainment realizes this and has begun pre-orders on a trigger set of their own that are very comparable to those brought to you by Giotech.

As you can make out from the image provided above, these attachments will give your triggers that much added extra comfort to prevent slip-off from occurring.  This has been a problem for a lot of PlayStation 3 owners and it seems that the issue will be solved.  These small little add-ons are apparently very easily attached and detached and are made of a durable plastic.

Pre-orders for the PS3 controller armor which includes the triggers are set to ship April 14.  They're priced at $9.99 USD which isn't remotely bad at all.

I got them with my PSM3, they are indeed very easy to put on. They just sort of clip over the normal ones...And clip off again.

Good for you though, they work well.

that controller looks sexy... kinda like a tuxedo.. with a red bow tie..

Eh, no thanks. I don't have the slip problem and this just seems like some more bulk to add to your controller.

It costs 9.99 but was produces for less than 50 cents.

this is a lot better than the stock triggers... i have alwasy thought that MS made the best triggers out of both console controllers.

9.99 is too much. im more interested in the armor which will add more weight and bulkiness to the controller.

Not that current triggers are horrible but if sony would of just made them curve out a bit on the DS3..I think that most would not have an issue with it. It would provide better grip but be subtle enough that the over all feel isn't greatly effected. ....OH well...I guess I will try these out however I agree.....10 bucks is a bit steep. 4.99 maybe....2.99 or 1.99 would of been more like it.

This is just personal preference. If you want a different feel to your controller, by all means, go ahead and modify it in ways like this. Personally, I'm happy with how my controller is, with my only wish being that the PS button in the middle having an LED inserted into it to make it glow, like the warm feeling I have in my heart whenever I play my games. $10  or  £5 is VERY  expensive for what they are. I got mine with the PSM3 mag which cost£5  but i certainly wouldn't pay more than say £2  for them.

Never had the slip problem with the L2/R2 buttons but these might be useful.  Not for $10 though.  Anyone not want theirs?
