Yea Blacksite is one i hav had my eye on i cant wait for it to come out

I hope no PS3 owner supports this game.  There really is no reason to not have these features in the game when games in the same genre are implementing them (HAZE, Call of Duty 4, etc.) including a launch game (Resistance).

Will there be a patch for this on PSN in the future?????????????

This is disappointing news for PS3 owners. What is the point of releasing inferior versions of the games on close equivalent platforms! This is a job not well done! I'm sure a bit more time would've fixed up the problem, but I guess Midway didn't the patience or they were pushed to release it quicker?!? Meh!!

Well that was a mistake of Midway.

Well, I was looking at getting this, but not now! I completely agree with Zaku - Resistance, a launch title, had these features; other new titles are including them.

Since we know that the machine is more than capable (40-player online Resistance WITH these features), there are only 2 reasons for them to be excluded: (1) Lazy developers, or (2) inept programmers.

Oh what a surprise... Limited Online, cut down version, gimped frame rates, sloppy ports, delayed or out right cancelled... it's just a surprise we are getting anything at all really. Lovely. The most expensive console and we get cold left overs.

Definitely is no excuse why there are no ranked servers and voice chat. Definitely not buying this.

I don't play online, but I'm still a little hesitant on buying this one. With Midway putting the Hard boiled movie on the same disc w/Stranglehold, I hold no grudges.

No issue for me...the only FPS next on my list are COD4, Haze, KZ2 and Turok.

At some point, you have to wonder if maybe it's not the developers, but the platform. Everybody didn't just forget how to make games. Maybe the PS3 is permanently gimped and the 360 is the better option outright

PS3 and Xbox360 should be each getting a fair share of titles. There is absolutely nothing wrong with PS3 hardware - I think it's a relationship issue with Sony being locked out by the publishers for some reason. It's also a money thing with publishers looking at short term profit and are unwilling to take risks on the third place platform.

The problem is that even if Sony can somehow turn things around next year and sells 20 million consoles - by the time developers & their publishers then approave new PS3 projects it will be 2010 before we actually see the resulting games. Sony may have left their run a bit late I think. Last Christmas was very important, and this Christmas is probably make or break now.

When will these companies learn that when you gimp a game on one console and give all the features to the other you lose sales on that gimped version period. You (devs) complain about development cost being too high and then you give people halfed assed versions? We have a saying where I'm from "Go hard or go home" which means put your all into it or don't do it at all. This is really beginning to piss most folks off and $60 is not something that you just throw away anymore and these devs need to know that. I'm through ranting......for now!

Midway really hates Playstation 3. Playstation itself did so much for the Company too, I guess they'll become the next Capcom when it comes to the PS3. After I pick up Stranglehold (whenever it'll come out) The only Midway games I'll pick up are Unreal Tournament and The New Mortal Kombat.

I DID want this game. Not anymore. Half the fun of playing online is talking between eachother and cordinating attacks and whatnot. So forget this. Whats the point.

First they not only fail to release a PS3 version of Mortal kombat Armageddon, that would have allowed them to include(trademark fatalities, babalities, brutalities, animalities, friendships and a potential three on three type Armageddon feel as the PS3 supports more than six controllers). Then they include Motor Kombat in the PS2 version rather than signature fatalities. Then, they let it get out that PS3 gamers could face PC gamers in Unreal Tournament III, don't deny it immediately, and then announce that it won't be included in the game, only a few months before it was supposed to be released. Next, they delay the release into a possible 2008. Now they are not including functions of online in the PS3 version of this game that a launch title apparently has been able to include.There comes a point and time when developers need to spend less time complaining about the PS3 install base and more time on the games that would aid the install base.

Initially I didnt think this game was going to be good espicially compared to the competition this just helped my decision on not supporting this game point blank.  UT3 I will still get ofc, but thats it stranglehold is crappy and I hope UT3 will not be the same case.

It really takes balls to relaease a superior and inferior version on two powerhouse consoles and charge the same price for both. How about at least passing the savings on like you know $35. I forgot they're not that smart!

-Zaku- : In Resistance you can't search and join games. It throws you into them. The rest I agree with. There is no reason why this game can't have these features. Warhawk has them. R6V didn't have the search deal either. What's going on??? Hopefully Haze, COD4, and Army of Two will have it. I guess I won't be getting Blacksite after all.

wow, well since i seen the demo of this game, i really didn't have any motivation to buy it. i know the 360 owner will give it alot of support, but the me as a ps3 owner WILL NOT SUPPORT your features. take your game and  shove it where the sun don't shine.

Everyone is agreeing with me that there are only two reasons for this: Laziness or ineptitude, either of which is going to swerve everyone away from this "product", but the real point is: didnt this m**therf**er cost MILLIONS to develop? well to be honest if you watch the videos of this gmae, the are exactly the same as resiatnce anyway, so just wait for resiatnce 2, and 3:D

this is a damn shame. I won't even rent the game now and Midway  won't get another dime from me...EVER. I probably wouldn't have bought this game anyway, but would've bought Stranglehold, or Mortal Kombat. I'm not gonna change that to Uncharted and Tekken. Done with Midway

Not gettin this now...Fck Midway. It's probably because of M$ payed them off, but there is still absolutely no excuse for this crap. Now I'm sure there won't be any PS3 owners buying this and Midway fcked themselves. Way to go....

Well this removes all doubt that I will not be picking up this title or any other cheap port by Midway.

The thing that gets me is that they have yet to say why this is. which leads to them being labled as a half @## company. this is not a bad point on the PS3 this is a bad point to Midway. even 360 fans should be shocked to hear this news. its one thing for them to say its not as shiny or pretty as the 360 version but to hack it up like this is bull when even microsoft knows that every thing that will be on the 360 version is possible on the PS3 version. this is either them being lazy, or them waiting to the last min to work on the PS3 version and still wanting it to be released simultaneously. PS3's install base may not be the biggest but they are still losing out on millions. They would do better delaying it.

I will not be buying this one enough said. GIve us stats atleast  till then this game goes in the black book

There's no reason for any PS3 owner to even care about this game, it might as well have been a 36* exclusive. This is definitly one time I absolutely approve of a boycott.
