Treyarch already thinking about next Bond gameElectronic Arts is making more money from mobile games than PlayStation 3 games, recent figures show.
In the third quarter of 2007, EA made a massive $640 million (£311m), but income from PS3 games was their lowest profit maker in the breakdown.
The figures showed $17m (£8m) profit for PS3, well behind the $37m (£18m) made by mobile games.
This is also doesn't take in to consideration the cheaper costs involved in making mobile games, although it is expected that the recent surge in PS3 sales will see these figures change soon.
However, it does highlight the growth and importance of mobile gaming, according to Pocket Gamer.

cause the stuff EA games makes for PS3 blows....
maybe if they made better quality ps3 game instead of the crap their pushing out now, they might make more of a profit.

EA is absolutely ridiculous. Until they get their heads on straight, I hope they fcking go bankrupt with that new deal they made buying bioware and stuff. I'm glad they see bad ports cause consumers not to buy their product.
I am sure I am not the only one that usually strays away from EA games....but one thing I don't get, who the fvck really plays mobile phone games that much?
EA used to be great. And it's quite possible that they can be again. EA has acquired two great developers, and I'm sure the quality of their games will continue to be good. As far as EA goes, everyone has to understand that while EA does own several developers, the collective "persona" of EA is not to blame for the bad games produced.
What EA, collectively, needs to do is emphasize creativity to their in-house developers. That's it. EA has realized already that pushing the same game every year while adding 1 to the number to follow, e.g. Madden NFL 2007+1= Madden NFL 2008. The realization comes first. Next is to seek help. I think that came in the form of acquiring Bioware and Pandemic. Then it should be well on its way to full recovery.
Give it a couple of years, EA might just release some games you really want. (Far Cry, Far Cry 2... just as examples.)

EA games on the PS3 are crap. If they don't sell (cuz they're crap) they won't make money. Maybe this will make EA work harder??? (I doubt it)
