Today a mysterious website for the upcoming PS3 exclusive, Uncharted: Drakes Fortune appeared on the internet. Probably some sort of weird and abstract advertising/marketing but it really brings about a fresh and immersive vibe to the game.
The website appears to be a journal written and maintained by Victor Sullivan. The journal currently has 3 entries and they are as followed:
- Sharing the Find posted October 23, 2007
- Financing the Hunt posted September 25, 2007
- Research Separates the Treasure Hunter from the Treasure Finder posted August 17, 2007
Nothing shocking is posted in these entries other than what appears to be a map found outside of Portobelo, Panama. The map is said to be previously owned by Sir Francis Drake, a renowned English explorer and privateer.
I do not want to ruin the immersive feeling you will get by reading a journal, so I am leaving you with the website that contains Sullivan’s journal.

Is this like GTA fake sites for the game ?
Looks like quite a few games now are getting side sites to bring in fans. (I'm looking at you GoW: Chains of Olympus.)
Finally got my demo of CoO!
This sort of thing usually happens to keep the hype going up until a AAA game is a released.
