Posted on November 18th, 2007 at 05:33 EDT

Sony has released all new commercials for the 40GB PS3. These new TV ads are made to run throughout the holiday season and entice buyers to pick up the PS3 for games such as Burnout Paradise, WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2008, Madden NFL 08, Time Crisis 4, Assassin’s Creed, Haze, and Metal Gear Solid 4.

These new TV Spots include new footage of the titles listed above, even splices of new gameplay from MGS4: Guns and Patriots.

I think advertising Home and MGS so earlty is misleading but hey w.e if this gets sony more sales good for them...

Edit:  Oh crap I just seen an old article dated in september about an open beta for home late nov. early december.  Maybe I was wrong about home and they are planning on releasing the open beta really really soon with all this advertising WOOT!

Cool stuff.

I don't watch much TV, so far in the UK I've seen a trailer for Zelda on DS once, a few times I've seen the 'jump in' trailers showing no games just a tv with halo 3 and scene it logos. Today I saw Ratchet and Clank which starts showing the in-game cut-scene stuff with 'actual gameplay' written at the bottom and its then a mix of cut-scenes and gameplay action, it looks brilliant, the general public will think its a trailer for a pixar movie untill they see the Playstation 3 logo at the end. Oh you have quark saying 'this is living' Not long after that say an hour, there was a trailer of Assassins Creed, it looks awesome even in SD and then it was a Playstation Logo at the end. I have seen the Simpson trailer with all Playstation brand loogos at the end.

It will be good if they can show Uncharted, Haze, UT III and Call of Duty 4 with Playstation 3 logo at the end. All this will show the PS3 has the best games for this xmas. All 360 can show is Mass Effect maybe Halo 3 but I think thats been and gone now. Wii only has Mario Galaxy but I think the public will think not another Mario game and visually doesn't look that great after they've seen Ratchet.
