Dylan Jobe, a developer for Warhawk, has recently made a post on the Official PlayStation Forums regarding an update coming to Warhawk today. The update can be expected any time from 10 AM PST to 12 PM PST. Jobe states that the Warhawk team has been listening to the feedback of its users and has decided to implement an update taking care of a lot of the overwhelming requests for the game. We've included a list below of everything you can expect to be changed.
- By popular demand, playlists which include the largest layouts now include only the largest layouts. They will no longer occasionally rotate into medium layouts.
- By popular demand, respawn times have been set to 3 seconds.
- By popular demand, Broken Mirror servers now offer dedicated CTF and ZNS games in place of the mixed playlists.Dogfight servers were added back to the list. They were inadvertently omitted before.
- All games’ time limits were reduced to 15 minutes, and ZNS score limit was reduced to 5000, to combat complaints of prolonged base camping.
- “NEWBIE” servers were changed to “Rookie” to bring the nomenclature in line with upcoming changes in v1.4.
- “Pro” servers were changed to “Expert” to more obviously indicate a skill level rather than a player type. Some players incorrectly identified “Pro” servers as tournament games, a la MLG or GGL.
- “Casual” servers are essentially the same as before, but the “Casual” designator has been dropped. We now refer to these internally as just “standard” servers, and they are listed without any special identifier.
- The rank cap on Rookie servers was increased to Wingman, since players were getting kicked out of these servers too quickly and finding themselves unprepared to play on standard servers.
- A rank cap was imposed on standard servers at Command Marshall. This is rank 15/19 so it should not affect a lot of players. The intention is to pull some of the most elite players out into their own category, somewhat narrowing the rank gap on these servers.
- Many Omega Dawn exclusive servers were removed due to lack of use.
While most developers ship a product with no updates planned in the future, the guys over at Incognito Entertainment continually feel the need to expand and enhance the online experience for their users. It's a refreshing feel to have the developers care that much about their title.

Nice, This studio really has our best interests at heart.
Wow. Just in time.. I was just about to start playing Warhawk again... As I am now bored of GTA IV.
Awesomeness! I love incognito.
this is the ps3 best online game by far, no lag, great support and expansions
this is a good game but havent pl.ayed in ages only play if i play split scvreen online all i use for now
they keep improving this game. i need to play this game again
MMmmm...listening to forum feedback & still no sign of a 1st person/driver view? :(
Im happy for those playing the game that they are putting a lot of work into maintaining it & answering fans requests.
Its just unfortunate for people like me who can't play 3rd person shooters, that they are 3rd person.lol.
Its a pity more developers din't pay attention to Socom a little more. That game has many things that other developers could learn from. For one, if developers included both FPS & 3PS modes of play, they would sell more units, not to mention one side of the gaming community doesn't miss out on the fun experiences.
Maybe some day?:)
Keep up the good work Dylan!! This game has legs and could remain popular for years to come (like StarCraft or Twisted Metal 2.) I tried to play GTA IV on-line and it sucked, so I took the game out and put Warhawk back in - and now I'm hooked again.
Are you kidding me? I can never find an Omega Dawn server, and now they're taking more away? So basically I'm forced to buy another expansion if I intend to play Dropship games...Am I the only one that thinks $8 is a little much for one vehicle and one map?
hmm... 15 minute rounds.....
i actaully like omega dawn more then vapor field glacier. but thats just me.
they need improve time limit to at least 20min this will keep fun.. too fast time is not suited warhawk. it's not cod4 or Haze any other :(
I really wish more people would give Warhawk a try. It really is a fun game.
