Rumors have been buzzing around the internet that Square Enix just can't squash. Tetsuya Nomura has come forth in yet another attempt to end the rumor once and for all.

Nomura announced that even though he does still have a copy of the original script for Final Fantasy VII, and that the whole Final Fantasy XIII team are willing to do it, there are currently no plans for a Final Fantasy VII remake.

He went on to say:, "We of course know ourselves what the fans want so we'd like to continue thinking up a variety of things. As long as there are people who want to make it and people who are waiting for it, we don't want to proclaim 'the end'."

So maybe there's still a chance. Let the speculation continue!
