Games Radar is reporting that the next instalment in the God of War series, God of War III, will not be released until Christmas 2009 at the very earliest.
The PlayStation 3 exclusive was originally reported to be in the works for a release later this year. However, citing a “reliable” Sony source, the website is claiming that the highly anticipated title will not be available for at least another two years.
Substantial details on the game have yet to be revealed, though God of War II Creative Director, Corey Barlog, said last year that he expects the title to be playable in 1080p and also feature some form of Sixaxis and rumble compatibility.
We’d like to remind our readers, however, that Games Radar’s claims have yet to be substantiated by an official source. Stay tuned for more information as soon as we get it.

I wouldnt pay too much attention to this fellas.. not until its confirmed by another source as well. Xmas 2009 seems waaaaay too long and I dont think a high priority project like God of War 3 would be in development for that extent.. especially after they annouced it (games are usually under development for about 8-12 months before they're annouced).
I know amazon had a ship a month back of 11/07/2008. But that has changed now.........
Has everyone forgot about GoW coming on the PSP March 4th?? I never thought GoW III would make it this year... that would be overkill.

Yeah maybe there are alot of other games coming out this year that dont make it such a big deal. But for all of us GOW fans this is terrible news. ;(

the longer the better for me, as i wont be sitting on my couch for the longest to wait for this game to come out, TIME PASSES BY FAST PEOPLE!, theres plenty of other games coming out that are going to be good, b4 this game comes out. =).
GoW: CoU is coming out pretty soon for the PsP, that would keep me settled for a cool minute of any Gow Story.

I figured this game would not be till 09. I honestly think I will be good this year without this game. As long as this game does not come out within like 2 months of Final Fantasy 13, I'll be set.

The second one was released 2 years after the first one, this NEEDS more time cause its a next-gen version so it almost 3 years... no surprise

Seems about right imo. Theres no way that I would expect the game to be released this year, and considering the delays that many PS3 games suffer from I would not be suprised if it were released then. Its best that all the top titles are spread over a period of time, or else the PS3 would end up like the 360 has done, whereby all the big hitters have already been released and there is nothing to look forwars to lol

why is everyone talking like it was going to be released this year it's been stated in many articles that it was coming out 09 holiday season to go against Gears of War for the Xbox360. So this article is nothing new
