I have a better idea, just cancel the whole thing.  Either continue to delay the game until EA get it right or just don't bother.

gabe newell is such an @55 I will not be supporting any of his games from here on out it seems it seems he has no concern for any PS3 owners what so ever.

This must be so embarrasing for them. Especially when Call of Duty was done so well. They are the Arizona Cardinals of developing. The PS3 is a waste of Newells time and Gabe Newells games are a waste of our time. Thanks for nothing.

c'mon people, its the Source engine, why not just buy it for PC? runs better, its less expensive, an its control better, Im a PS3 fan, but buying this for console is like buying Age of Empire II for PS2  :P

Once again, I can only say that EA must have inept programmers, or are deliberately trying to make PS3 look bad. A year into the life of the machine, and when you see the wonders that others are producing, there is no excuse whatsoever for EA to keep churning out shoddy crap like this.

this only hurts valve. its stupid to gimp your product just because you don't like the platform. if he did this earlier it would not have been so bad, but now the PS3's  momentum is insane right now. i never met a person that wanted to lose money so badly. also why would you want your product to look bad. i wouldn't care if i hated the system or not, my game is not going to look bad

well much as i dislike EA the real blame goes to Vavle because since their so stuck in the past and cant program on updated hardware instead of trying to learn they take the easy route and passes production over to EA lets hope something decent comes out of this

I was really looking forward to the orange box. I still have faith that they can make it better before release but time is running out fast.

Those guys will be sorry in the future, when the PS3 boom starts. I sense that by the end of the next year, the PS3 will have as much units as the XBox.

I was only interested in this for portal, but I played through it on PC instead. If Portal runs fine, the orange box could be worth a hire just for that. Otherwise, stay away, by the sounds of it.

Orange Box is a fantastic package so its a shame that people who dont have access to a PC are getting a crap port thats being shoved together by another company. Personally I think games like this and Crysis, COD 4, UT3, Kane & Lynch etc... are really made for PC so I dont understand why anyone would consider them for PS3 anyway.

Gabe's game is not worth it. If EA was smart them they would go to Gabe and say "Here, you can have your box back and you can shove it were the sun don't shine!" Valve is really not cut out for real technoligy(ps3). All of the devs. need to upgrade from xbox 360 hardware(old) to Ps3 hardware(NEW!) If anything the ps3 is its own and the newist generation. Valve can't handle the truth.

This game deserves to be boycotted, plain and simple.

ea continues to not care about ps3 owners, they dropped the ball on madden for the ps3 also and I really cant stand supporting the company anymore, its a pity because they have their hands in so much now

EA sucks sooooo much.....Infinity Ward rocked the PS3 with COD4 and that should have been a message to EA that it is possible to make an amazing game for the PS3 if you didn't whine so much and just friggin dedicate yourself to making a game....EA is full of 360 fanboys....

If Mr. Newell actually worked on his developing skills, then instead of getting a bunch of 2 year old games here, we could be getting half life 3 here. I hope this "man" understands that multi core processors are the future.

damn i was wanting to get this too. 3 games for the price of one. and portal looks like so much fun. but im not going to give any money to someone who bashes sony and dosent even try to make it good.

EA makes me so mad....Why is it that none of their games are good ports while other companies don't have a problem.

this sucks. sorry but i kinda wanted to play the, "best game ever". but now i can't because some fat@55 has to whine about how the PS3 is a little different than the other consoles which makes it a little harder to develop for. if you hate the PS3 so much then why did you even bother with making a port?

The first time I read about gabe and his remarks about Sony "making a mistake" with the PS3, I've decided right then & there that I wouldn't buy this game. It's good to know that I haven't had a reason to change my mind.

Ps3 owners need to take a stand and not buy these half asshed games. just becuase the title is half life the company figures we will buy it anyway. i was really looking forward to this game but now the people valve software can choke on there own F.U.L.C.K.ED Up poor excuse for a game.

Who Really Cares? HL Sucks anyways. I mean my flatm8 has the orange box 4 xbox360. not really interested. As for 'Waste of everyones time' , sounds like some1 cudn't get the hang of the PS3 so he just shoves it off to another EA. The reason they'll be struggling with it is coz they didn't program it in the first place. tbh if ppl want this game get it 4 pc. to Me Valve games are a waste of money. The only game that would interest me would be team fortress but meh, I seen plenty better shooters.

His frustration comes from his unwillingness to learn how to program for the console. He wants the money from the console market, but doesn't want to give us a quality version in return. Not surprising. It will bite him in the ars... give it time.

Terrible game in any event.  MGS4, Haze and Killzone 2 will put an end to anyone thinking that the PS3 is somehow a waste of everyone's time.  The companies that brown-nose Microsoft are only whoring themselves out for the money.  Eventually, they will just fade away into has-been designers and also-rans.

HL2 on the PC is great but I couldn't see many PC people re-buying this again just for portal and team fortress 2, the esp1, 2, 3. are free for the PC.

I wouldn't buy it because I've finshed HL2 3-4 years ago so I don't need to go threw it again on PS3 just a get rich quick scheme probably by EA.

 

Who cares, dont buy it. Most multi plat games to date have sucked, and if they dont like the PS3, quit deving for it. We dont want your no talent hack job of a game on our console.

The future of technology and games are multi core processors, with that said i played this game on a PC and HL episode 2 looks a little dated and team fortresss 2 is okay it's not a bonified smash hit. The only game worth playing is Portal it's fun. I wasn't gonna waste my hard earned money to support  newman i mean newell, an unmotivated programmer isn't worth supporting in my opinion.

If they're going to half-ass it for millions of potential PS3 customers, then what's the point?  This is incredibly bad business for multi-platform games.
