(continued from previous page) ...content-wise between the console versions?
Judd: Each version will have some minor unique content.
PSU: What are some unlockables we might see in Bionic Commando Rearmed? Could we see the original 8-bit version making its way into the game?
Judd: I really can’t go out and give you the specifics because that would ruin the surprise but let me say this, the game features more unlockables than most of the other XBLA/PSN titles I have seen. It’s one of the areas I am particularly proud of. It is worth it to put in the time to open up everything.
PSU: Anything else you’d like to add?
Judd: Yeah, without sounding like a PR mouthpiece, this game is risky in so many ways. Not only is it an obvious financial risk due to the fact that we have listened to our fans and priced the game at 10 bucks instead of 15 even though we are providing a lot of game for that price (I.e. it was not cheap to develop), but we have taken risks in other areas to ensure that fans of the original game will be happy.
One of the biggest things, is that we have kept in a certain “risky” scene in the game that has pushed the game into the 18 plus rating tier for Europe. This scene was removed, out of necessity, for the Japanese market which gave the game a B rating (roughly 12 plus) so we could have very easily put the game out for a Teen audience but decided not to. Again, the smaller your possible target is, the less units you stand to sell. But still, even though the scene in question is less than 20 seconds long, we felt that it had to be included so again we are running the gauntlet and hoping that enough people are supportive of the title to make it work. In hindsight, some of these choices were probably not the best financial ones but I’m no salesman… I’m a gamer at heart. And this game, if any, is a game for gamers by gamers.

this game looks promising can't wait to play it
From what I have seen I would say this looks and sounds good... On the second page anyone know what 'scene' they are talking about?
Fine Sony.. I like your games but cmon dudes! Look at Xbox Live Marcetplace!
If you compare PSS (PlayStation Store) with XBL Marcetplace its like more the twice as much stuff on it!
You might think that it's good because of the store getting to clutterd with stuff.
But if that happen you can just splitt things up so to exaple instead of just having an "Demo" section having a Demo -> Action Demos, Adventure Demos" e.t.c.
And please give EU store some love to.. We dont have much stuff.. If you say "quality over quantity" there you must be stupid, Because we bearly dont have anything.. What's a store with 3 very high quality mini-games?
Zephyr - No crap there’s more on XBL it was out for a full year with no competition, do you actually think PSN is going to put out a full year of content at one time to satisfy whiny dumb butts like you, also quality over quantity is very justifiable because its true - I would rather have 1 good game then 100 crap games - so who’s the stupid one here? Stupid!
@ Zephyr - XBLM had no competition for over a year and add to that the Xbox years of learning the online society.
@ dandad1: You're acting childish for no reason. I don't even live in Europe and I know the Store over there is terrible. They have to learn to bear it or get a US account.

This game doesn't look at all fun to me. I understand the price point dilemma but I think I'm spent on 2D games.
I agree with "dandad1"! You cant exspect the PS3 to have as much games, and content overall, as the 1-1,5 year older XBOX 360. Its like expecting that a 14 year old kid is better in , say math, than a 15 year old kid. Or even better that a wall that someone started building in 2007 is bigger than a wall someone started building in 2006. You have to think before you speak...
@zephry SHUT UP MAN! this is a Playstation website we don't need compairing to go on the people here are already for the Playstation. about the 360, well guess what they are diffrent systems get used to it.
anyways the game looks great. Can't wait to play it
PSN: DarkJ3JB
im not going to complain at all that we dont have much games on PSN, we have alot of the better games than XBL has anyways. id rather sony have companies working on full fledged titles, than mini ones anyone, just look at our exclusive games coming out! who the h3ll cares if we dont have as many small games on PSN??????
going to let this one pass me by....
PSN: yungder
I'll definitely buy this on day-one, since I've been hoping for some high-def side scrolling action for a long time. I only hope everyone else is excited as me, so these guys make a profit and continue to re-make more classics! (And, maybe this will convince some other companies to do the same.. I'm praying Konami does Castlevania like this.)
I'll buy it day one, minute one! This game sounds like it is going to be the best Ps Store title and thats including GT5 and Warhawk!
