Top 10 Games to revive for the PlayStation 3
Kratos not appearing in Soul Calibur IVEarlier we reported that Capcom will be making a very special PlayStation 3 announcement this week (in just over 2 days). With no clues as to what this announcement could be, our very own Justin Pinter, Journalist and PR guy here at PSU, thought he'd throw a few ideas out there, some realistic, and others far fetched.
Editor's Note: The predictions don't reflect PSU's opinion, only Justin's!
Realistic Guesses:
1. Dead Rising 2 / Lost Planet Sequel: We all know the sequels are coming and now that Capcom has had time to work on PS3 hardware there should be no reason why neither of these titles sequels should appear on the PS3.
2. "Capcom PS3 Action Project" / New IP: It could be likely that Capcom has one more new IP up its sleeve. According to announcements made at TGS 2005, there was a secret action title in development, outside of DMC4, for the PS3.
3. Next gen version of older titles: With so many franchises in Capcom's library of titles, it wouldn't surprise me if they announced a PS3 version of the following games: Onimusha, Dino Crisis, Street Fighter, or Breath of Fire.
Far Fetched Guesses:
1. Resident Evil 5 goes PS3 exclusive: Back in May, many rumors sprang that Capcom had dropped Xbox 360 development of RE5 and that the game would be exclusive on the PS3. The rumor came from a variety of Japanese media outlets, but was continually denied by Capcom. For us, it would be great to see the series return to its roots as a PlayStation exclusive.
2. Monster Hunter 3 still in development for PS3: We all have heard that development on Monster Hunter 3 has been moved to the Wii, but perhaps with the recent move to support the PS3 more during 2008, they put more money into the development and will release the game on both platforms.

dead rising 2!
I am hoping it is Resident Evil 5 PS3 exclusive. Huge fan of the games and it would be nice if it is just ours. Also have it drop this Christmas. Now that is far fetched.
psn id: gingo... my guess is that it will be something lame like dead rising 2 and lost planet 2 coming out on both ps3 and 360
uh... there is no way that the "monster hunter 2 is still in development" is right.. why would they say "oh monster hunter isnt in development but dont be mad we have a cool announcement." and then the announcement ends up being its actually not cancelled? what?

dead rising and lost planet 2 wouldnt do anything for ps3 because theyre not exclusives the post from the dude said lets see how THEY feel which u guys put it as ps3 owners having a port of sequels from two games that are on the 360 isnt worth having a countdown. a big announcement would be that DMC 4 is back as a exclusive to ps3
devil may cry 4 and resident evil 5 ps3 exclusives and to come out in november 2007 this year. THAT WOULD BE THE GREATEST NEWS OF ALL MAN KIND

Well none the less, I don't know if they could announce anything better than Monster Hunter 3 at the moment. I know DMC 4 can't be switched, it's already past half way finished in development for the 360. So what ever could be so ground shaking?

Meh, we didn't lose GTA...just for number IV. It was confirmed that GTA V will be a PS3 exclusive.
I could go for another Dino Crisis...
Dead Rising 2 or Resident Evil 5 being a PS3 exclusive is what I am expecting. Or both! :D
I said it before and I'll say it again they arn't going to make an announcement with all this pomp and circomstance to say they're dropping support of a system especially one that's doing BETTER than the 36* in japan. This is an announcement for the PS3 not for eithre of the other two systems according to the stament made by the random Protocol Droid in PSU's previous article.
I still dont think it can be anything so special i kno we not going to get any exclusives back because it would contradict everything capcom said and doing. Maybe a brand new game capcom making, but i dont see how they hype a brand new game announcement unless they are really confident in it. Im really hoping for a marvel vs capcom game or maybe a street fighter. Those are the only to games that can compete with the best fighter I think is out tekkan.
to win back many sony fans, capcom would need to come out and say theve dropped the 360 version of resident evil 5. I think dead rising 2 and lost planet 2 should be a given, well not quite a given but, im pretty sure they will make thoughs games on ps3 aswell.
Also since devil may cry 4 was delayed maybe capcom has relized that they can make a better version of the game on ps3, so now there announceing the drop of the 360 version. ???????????

RE5 isn't coming out in March...its an 09 release.
Myself and the entire Japanese market would go nuts for a good new Breath of Fire. Dino Crisis would be great too. We're more likely to get the Lost Planet/Dead Rising sequel and/or enhanced port. At least they have all of us interested!
Capcom should remember where most of their money came from.............the PS2!!!! So if capcom continue to snub the PS3 i certainly wont be buying any of there games. Capcom remember your roots and lets make RE5 exclusive to PS3. Dont you think you should give something back to the console that sold millions of games for you.

Crapcom's hype on the 360 is over, they're seeing the ps3 receiving a lot of support and starting to sell like water in the desert and they're getting desperate, this is just a marketing stunt, they'll probably say that some crappy game that was on the 360 is going multi-platform, i trust in crapcom no more.
Capcom is not dropping the 360 version of DMC4, the graphics are not good enough to the point where the 360 would have issues running it. Plus there's obviously so many 360s out there so why lose the money at this stage in development? RE5, I dont know because I haven't seen a working build, if it's turns out its too taxing, they may drop it. Hopefully that's what happens w/ Rockstar and GTA IV, although I'm sure the 360 will run it, it'll just require a HD, screwing over many owners :)
Having a new EXCLUSIVE action IP from Capcom would be nice.

Hey Power Stone 3 exclusive on the PS3 would make me a happy camper.......I would love to see what they can do with a sequel to a game like Chaos Legion on current-gen consoles. Or better yet....Capcom can come out and say that they are now going to be a first party developer for Sony.......that will totally win me over.
the only one that i would be remotely happy about would def be RE5
Breath of Fire is one of the best RPG story lines ever. Right up there with the FF series, Chrono Trigger, and classics like Dragon Warrior. It would a ball if they made a BOF for the ps3 that could and use the console's capabilities. I would reserve it the day it is announced.
Dead rising 2 fo sho, if not another Street Fighter game in HD --> Alpha series or 3rd strike. Then I can die in peace lol.

not one person on this whole site has mentioned powerstone 3!! think about it next gen, online, its one of the most fun fighting games ever. do i think it will really happen ??? nah but no one ever mentioned it ive thrown the name out there in a few other posts and no one once even commented on it, am the only one who liked it or played it????
At this point, I've written capcom off. I'm not buying any of their crap. Favorite franchise, exclusive new IP or whatever they announce. I'm finished with them.
they will probably announce an exclusive breath of fire title for ps3. they're just teasing us, anyway if they make a cr@ppy annoucement they'll lose even more support amidst the ps3 fans and theirs particularly.
