Polyphony Digital’s Kazunori Yamauchi has hinted that the upcoming fifth instalment in the critically acclaimed Gran Turismo series will include cars manufactured by Porsche.
Speaking with the Official PlayStation Magazine, Yamauchi commented, “We’ll have most - no, all of the major manufacturers.”
When pushed to further clarify on the possibility of the Porsche brand appearing in Gran Turismo 5, he simply stated, “probably.”
Earlier this year, Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) revealed that GT5 would not be released for another year. Its precursor, GT5: Prologue, is currently available to purchase worldwide on Blu-ray and PlayStation Network.
Stay tuned for further information on GT5 as it breaks.

Too bad they need another year to finish this game. Maybe they should not have done the Prologue. What's that for anyway? New method to finance the maingame? Some cars, some tracks, an online mode, equals half a game. Don't care till the real deal is available.
I don't see why GT5: Prologue seem to always be regarded as "Half a game". It's only "half a game" because we all know that a "proper" GT5 will come out in a year. If we had no idea about that, then "some cars, some tracks" will become "all cars, all tracks". It would make for a disappointing GT5, but then everyone would call it a "full game".
Really, to be honest, even with the release of GT5, you'll only get "some cars, some tracks" compared to the eminent release of GT6. And you'll only get "some features", as well. Would GT5 then be considered half a game? Of course not - because it's a "sequel", right? Well, what if Polyphony Digital released a "GT5: Ultra Super Mega You-can't-get-this-anywhere-else Edition" that effectively doubles the number of cars and tracks on GT5, would that make the "proper" GT5 half the game, because it's only got "some tracks, some cars" compared to the "Ultra, etc."?
That aside, it's not a new method to finance the "main" game, they've done it with the second, third and fourth ones. On their own rights, they're "full games", but compared to their "proper" releases, they're likened to taking a dip in the pool before taking a plunge entirely.
We shouldn't need to be complaining about prologue, it's a choice not a requirement to get it or not. I'm glad that they release a prologue..because i can't wait for the full game.
Carrera GT, here we come...hopefully.
Sounds good....
Carriera GT 911 is my fevorite since NFS porche unleashed hii hii :D
O.k., having half a game (5-6 tracks would not be considered a full one, in no universe) seems to be an old method, and it's working too, if everybody falls for it since the second game. ;-) I've stoped caring since the original game, maybe next year is a good time to rejoin. /care about porsche that much, but we want many cars, don't we? so that can be considered good news. i guess.
I still think GT5P should have never been done and have everyone concentrate on GT5. I don't even like driving sims either. Only played the original.
