Portal nuts should be familiar with the end credit song, "Still Alive," sung by the defeated AI GLaDOS. Get ready to experience the song again, but not in Portal.
At a party hosted by Portal developer Valve, it was revealed that "Still Alive" will be available as downloadable content in the ever-better Rock Band.
"Dan Teasdale (one of our senior designers) started picking a three person band with Jonathan and Alex Rigopulos (co-founder of Harmonix and head honcho)," commented Harmonix developer Sean Baptiste in his blog. "When they got to the song list they scrolled through an almost infinite amount of DLC until eventually they stopped on one- 'Still Alive' by GLaDOS."
No price or release date has been announced, but the fact that we'll be able to play Jonathan Coulton's masterpiece at some future time is satisfying enough at this time. We'll let you know when we hear more.
