Kratos not appearing in Soul Calibur IVQuantic Dream, developer behind the critically acclaimed Fahrenheit, has announced the company has invested in the latest motion capture technology from Vicon for use in its upcoming, as-of-yet-unnamed PlayStation 3 project.
The company is currently in the process of working on four months worth of motion capture for the project, which was first announced back in July of this year.
Guillaume de Fondaumière, Co-CEO of Quantic Dream commented, "Our objective is to make this media a mainstream entertainment form with high creative expectations.”
"To do so, we have invented our own format called 'interactive cinema' in which realistic, believable characters play a central role. To us, the only way to reach the level of quality we were targeting for the animation of our characters was to use Vicon motion capture.”
In addition, the firm also confirmed that it is hiring out the new mo-cap studio to other development teams.
"Demand has been immediate and we have actually already started to rent the system to high-profile video game and advertising clients. Our new studio is fully installed and is functioning almost every day either for complex full body or facial captures," concluded Fondaumiere.

sorry but fahrenheit was a weird game but good....but i shall be getting this if its good
I love how innovative this company is. Fahrenheit was one of my favorite games in the past few years. And if it's anything like that Heavy Rain tech demo they made, I'll be sure to get it.

I think Heavy Rain is a codename or project name. The actual game does not have a name yet.

Heavy Rain was never announced to be a game. It was merely a tech demo to show the power of the PS3. Kind of like the FFVII tech demo that was released a couple of years ago.

Never heard of them, But its good that the ps3 is getting more and more projects going on. Sounds like they are cooking up a great game though. Cant wait!
